Google has just released a major update to its Google Translate app, bringing the Live Translate feature to iOS. Users only need an iPhone and any headphones to turn the device into a personal translator.
This feature, previously only available on Android, has now been expanded to many popular tourist destinations. (Image: iGeeksBlog) Live Translate uses Gemini AI to recreate the natural tone, rhythm, and emotion of the speaker.
The system supports over 70 languages, helping users fully grasp the context in real-life conversations. Activating it is very simple: open Google Translate, select the Live Translate icon, and put on your headphones. Simultaneously, Google also launched Search Live, allowing users to chat directly with AI using their cameras.
With these two new features, Google transforms smartphones into multi-sensory AI tools, breaking down all language barriers. Readers are invited to watch the video : Apple kicks off its 2026 product week with the affordable iPhone 17e and iPad Air with the M4 chip.
