According to the plan, during the DIFF 2025, the city's Border Guard will mobilize 6 ships, 20 boats and canoes with more than 300 officers and soldiers deployed throughout the Han River area. Working groups and teams will be arranged appropriately on key routes, maintaining a 24/7 duty regime, ready to effectively handle any arising situations, ensuring absolute safety of people, vehicles, weapons, equipment, participating in rescue when required.
Lieutenant Colonel Le Van Tung, Deputy Chief of Staff of the city's Border Guard, said that working groups will closely inspect and monitor the activities of boats in the area during the fireworks display. The city's Border Guard will patrol by high-speed canoe along the Han River and the coast, not allowing any situation to affect the festival area. At the same time, there is always close coordination between the Border Guard force with the police, coast guard and navy. The area near the fireworks stand, the boat mooring area, and the floating restaurant on the Han River all have Border Guard forces on duty 24/7.
Assigned by the City People's Committee to take charge of protecting the Han River water surface area, the City Border Guard has developed a detailed coordination plan with functional forces to survey and divert waterway traffic, creating an absolutely safe area for fireworks displays. DIFF 2025 attracts a large number of domestic and foreign tourists, and the work of controlling safety on waterway vehicles, especially tourist boats on the Han River, is strictly and proactively implemented by the City Border Guard.
On each tourist boat serving the audience to enjoy the fireworks, there are officers and soldiers of the border guard directly present to strictly control the number of passengers on board. Not allowing the boat to carry more people than the prescribed number is a mandatory requirement, clearly stated to prevent risks. Officers and soldiers of the border guard check life-saving equipment, life jackets, fire-fighting equipment, etc. before allowing the boat to leave the dock.
Border guards directly guide tourist boats to anchor in the correct locations according to the agreed traffic plan, avoiding dense concentration in one area, causing insecurity and obstructing visibility during the fireworks display night. At locations such as Thuan Phuoc Bridge, Dragon Bridge, Tran Hung Dao Street, Bach Dang, Nhu Nguyet Street, etc., the Border Guard forces coordinate with the police and the army to organize forces to guard, regulate traffic, guide tourists, and ensure security and order.
A new feature in the DIFF 2025 safety protection plan is that the city's Border Guard will equip high-capacity pumps on patrol boats to serve fire prevention and fighting on the river. At the same time, the Border Guard will coordinate with the 115 Emergency Center to arrange border medical teams and doctors on duty right on the boats and blocking boats, ready to provide first aid and immediate medical support to residents and tourists in case of unexpected situations.
Colonel Tran Cong Thanh, Commander of the City Border Guard, said that since the beginning of May, the Border Guard Command has developed a specialized plan, synchronously deployed professional measures, mobilized maximum human resources and means to be ready for the DIFF 2025 season in a proactive and decisive spirit in all plans, determined not to let any negligence affect the success of the festival.
It can be seen that in the vibrant atmosphere of DIFF 2025, when tens of thousands of people are looking forward to the eye-catching performances of international fireworks teams competing on the Han River, it is the presence of the green-uniformed soldiers, along with other forces, that have been contributing to the success of the festival, raising the position and prestige of Da Nang , leaving many good impressions in the hearts of tourists.
