Previously, on September 30, nearly 40 cadres, civil servants, union members, members of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee and associations and unions of Ban Thach ward marched to the source in Tra Giap commune. Together with local forces, the delegation constructed "the Party flag and national flag road", installed solar-powered lamp posts on the inter-village route of village 2, contributing to beautifying the landscape and ensuring security and order. Kindergartens were provided with toys and learning tools, further strengthening the bond and friendliness between the two sister units.
Ban Thach Ward mobilized resources to donate 50 devices and tools to support teaching and playing for children; 15 gifts for poor households, policy families, and prestigious people.
In particular, at Vo Thi Sau Primary and Secondary Boarding School, the delegation presented 15 laptops, including 2 for studious students with difficult circumstances. On the occasion of Mid-Autumn Festival, the delegation presented 2 more sets of lion dances and drums, along with 520 gifts to students at the schools.
In the warm atmosphere, the group also organized a buffet party for boarding students at the school. It is known that on October 4, 15 disadvantaged secondary school students of Tra Giap commune will continue to receive 15 bicycles to make it more convenient to go to school.
Viet An commune also launched the twinning program with many sharing activities. Mr. Huynh Huu Cuong, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Commune Party Committee, said that the commune has presented a flag route with 120 poles and decorative flags along the central road of Tra Giap commune; 2 livelihood packages to support disadvantaged youths to rise up; 14 gifts worth nearly 10 million VND for poor studious students and disadvantaged households.
The total material value of this launch is estimated at more than 250 million VND, contributed by officials, civil servants, employees, workers of Ban Thach ward, Viet An commune and the support of philanthropists. This is a vivid demonstration of the spirit of "the rich help the poor", and at the same time is the first step to concretize the twinning program between the three localities as assigned by the Da Nang City Party Committee.
Touched by the sharing, Nguyen Thi Dang, a 7th grade student at Vo Thi Sau Primary and Secondary Boarding School for Ethnic Minorities, said: “This year’s Mid-Autumn Festival is the happiest for me. I received a computer to study on, got to watch a lion dance, received gifts and a delicious meal. I can only thank you for taking care of us.”
Mr. Phan Duy Bien, Principal of the school, said that the 15 donated computers are a very valuable gift, helping teachers and students to be more proactive in arranging computer rooms for studying and accessing technology.
Mr. Vo Thanh Cung, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ban Thach Ward, shared: “Through the survey, we see that Tra Giap still has many difficulties. Therefore, the ward officials and people are determined to take concrete actions to support the neighboring commune. This is both a responsibility and a sentiment.”
Mr. Hoang Thanh Long, Party Secretary and Chairman of the People's Council of Tra Giap commune affirmed: "The timely and practical support in this launch has partly met the urgent needs of the commune.
We receive and transfer support to the right target, promoting long-term effectiveness. The charitable deeds from Ban Thach and Viet An have lit up the faith and added motivation for Tra Giap to gradually overcome difficulties and develop steadily.
