Grecale Folgore - The first Maserati electric luxury car is coming to Vietnam?
Some Maserati dealers in Vietnam have received deposits for the Grecale Folgore, the Italian carmaker’s first all-electric luxury SUV. However, the company has yet to confirm.

Grecale Folgore is Maserati's first pure electric vehicle, developed from the Grecale compact SUV line that has been available in Vietnam since June 2023. The name "Folgore" means "lightning" in Italian, clearly showing the speed and technology orientation of this high-performance electric vehicle. Although there has been no official announcement from the distributor, some Maserati dealers in Vietnam have started accepting deposits for the Grecale Folgore. The car is imported completely from Italy, the selling price has not been disclosed.
The Grecale Folgore retains the design of the petrol versions such as the GT, Modena or Trofeo. However, the pure electric version has been slightly adjusted at the front of the car, most noticeably the closed grille and the front bumper has been tweaked to optimize aerodynamics. The interior is modern, luxurious and technological, different from the traditional mechanical design of cars such as Ghibli or Quattroporte. All the layouts on the Folgore version are similar to the petrol version, with bold Italian style and full of amenities. According to information from the international market, the Maserati Grecale Folgore is equipped with two electric motors for a full-time 4-wheel drive system. The total capacity reaches 550 horsepower, torque of 820 Nm, allowing acceleration from 0-100 km/h in 4.1 seconds.
Compared to the Grecale Trofeo version using a 3.0L V6 engine with 530 horsepower, the Folgore version is better in terms of parameters but accelerates a bit slower (the Trofeo version takes 3.8 seconds). The car uses a 105 kWh lithium-ion battery, allowing a travel distance of about 501 km after a full charge. With a 150 kW DC fast charger, the Grecale Folgore can charge from 0-80% battery in about 30 minutes. If officially distributed, Maserati Grecale Folgore will become a formidable competitor to Porsche Macan EV - a luxury electric SUV currently sold in Vietnam with prices ranging from 3.48 to 5.86 billion VND.
In terms of size, the Grecale is larger than the Macan, and is aimed at customers looking for a difference with luxurious Italian style and powerful performance. The petrol engine versions of the Grecale are currently priced from 4.2 - 7.539 billion VND in Vietnam, so the Folgore version will likely be at a higher price.
