Lam Dong province’s agriculture is shifting strongly towards large-scale commodity production, increasing added value and sustainable development. At the same time, enterprises are identified as key links in the agricultural product chain.

One of the important contributions of enterprises in the chain is the transfer of scientific and technical advances to each farming household. Many enterprises have proactively invested in organic farming technology, sustainable farming and according to GlobalGAP, VietGAP and other international agricultural standards to control inputs, increase productivity and ensure the quality of agricultural products. A typical example is Dalat Hasfarm Company Limited, which not only provides plant varieties and input materials but also regularly sends agricultural engineers to provide technical support in the fields. Thanks to this, people can easily access advanced production processes, reduce costs and increase product value.
In addition to raw material production, businesses also invest heavily in the processing industry to increase the added value of agricultural products. Many factories processing vegetables, fruits, coffee, tea, etc. have been built in Lam Dong with modern production lines, meeting strict export standards such as the US, Japan, and the EU. Nedspice Vietnam Spice Processing Company Limited (Nedspice Company) is a typical example. Mr. Franj Lavooij - Nedspice Company said that his large-scale enterprise with many years of experience currently has 868 customers in 60 countries. The enterprise focuses on creating value right from the origin of the product, so promoting linkages, cooperation, and creating growing areas such as in Lam Dong - the province with the largest pepper area and quality in the country is highly valued. Currently, the enterprise has linked up with hundreds of households in the province.
Faced with increasingly higher customer demands such as the European market, farmers, localities and businesses need to cooperate more closely to conquer many international markets. Along with linking to create input materials, businesses increase investment in processing, diversify products, and trace origins to serve diverse consumer market groups. According to Ms. Nguyen Thi Le Ha, Bac Gia Nghia ward - a household growing 13 hectares of pepper according to organic standards, for many years now, she has cooperated with Nedspice Company to produce stably, and the selling price of products is always higher than the general market level by about 10-20%.
Not only stopping at consumption and processing, many enterprises in Lam Dong also actively participate in building brands, enhancing the value of agricultural products in the market. Through trade promotion activities, product promotion, trademark registration, growing area codes, and traceability of agricultural products, the province's position is increasingly affirmed. Arabica Cau Dat coffee, Dak Mil coffee, Da Lat vegetables and tubers, cut flowers, Bao Loc oolong tea, Dak Song pepper, geographical indications of Dak Nong pepper, geographical indications of Binh Thuan dragon fruit... are prominent brands that are present on major e-commerce platforms and supermarket chains at home and abroad.
According to Mr. Le Trong Yen - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, to continue promoting the role of enterprises in the linkage chain, Lam Dong province is effectively implementing many priority policies such as: credit support, production premises, high-tech agricultural infrastructure, construction of logistics centers, cold storage... At the same time, encouraging and calling on large enterprises to lead regional linkage chains, industry linkages and deep processing.
Lam Dong also strengthens the coordinating role of local authorities in connecting farmers - businesses - scientists - distributors, ensuring close links and harmonizing interests among all parties.
The province currently has 528 production chains linked to sustainable product consumption, reaching 123% of the annual plan. The province has thousands of enterprises participating in value chain linkages in the fields of cultivation, livestock, and aquaculture, with diverse cooperation models: enterprises - cooperatives - households, enterprises - enterprises, or enterprises directly investing in production and consuming products...
