On November 7 in Ho Chi Minh City, the Vietnam Agricultural Business Club organized the program “Optimizing business operations towards sustainable export”, attracting the participation of many agricultural enterprises, cooperatives and experts in the field of agricultural product export. The event focused on analyzing market trends, technical barriers as well as solutions to improve competitiveness for Vietnamese enterprises.

According to the program report, 2025 will continue to see many bright spots in agricultural exports. Durian will reach a turnover of more than 3.2 billion USD, nearly equal to the whole of 2024; bananas will increase by 55% to 233 million USD; passion fruit, grapefruit and dragon fruit will expand to new markets such as the US, Australia and Europe. However, in addition to positive results, Vietnamese agricultural products still face many challenges in meeting international standards and maintaining a stable supply chain.

Ms. Tran Thi Minh Ha, President of the Vietnam Agricultural Business Club, said that Vietnamese enterprises are entering an important transformation phase when global demand is strongly shifting towards “green” products, clear traceability and sustainable production.

“To go the long way, businesses need to optimize operations, improve management capacity, apply digital technology and green transformation. Only by proactively standardizing production processes can Vietnamese businesses affirm their brands in the international market,” Ms. Ha emphasized.

Experts at the forum also stated that, for sustainable export, businesses need to invest in quality management systems that meet GlobalGAP, HACCP, JAS or CE Marking standards; link standard raw material areas, build growing area codes and proactively update import regulations of each market.

The program "Optimizing business operations towards sustainable export" is considered a practical activity to help connect businesses, share experiences and develop orientations for Vietnam's agricultural sector in the context of deep integration, contributing to enhancing the position of Vietnamese agricultural products on the world map.
