Speaking at the signing ceremony of the cooperation agreement with NutiFood held today in Ho Chi Minh City, golf legend Greg Norman, who is also Vietnam's Tourism Ambassador, said that his connection with Vietnam began with golf course construction projects.
Greg Norman, nicknamed the "Great White Shark," is the designer of three of Vietnam's top golf courses, including Ho Tram Golf Course, which was once ranked 35th among the world's 100 best golf courses. KN Golf Links Cam Ranh won the award for the most beautiful golf course in Asia in 2018…
“Many places in Vietnam have beautiful locations suitable for golf courses. I have about 27 such locations and plan to develop 6 to 7 more in the near future. Having more golf courses will not only help develop the sport but also attract international tourists,” said Greg Norman.
Greg Norman also stated that Vietnam has many talented young golfers and his goal is to support the development of even more talent in Vietnam, just as he did in the United States.
“On February 19th at KN Golf Links Cam Ranh, I had the opportunity to play a friendly match with three young Vietnamese golf talents: Nguyen Bao Long (14 years old), Tran Lam (15 years old), and Nguyen Anh Tuan (21 years old). I recognized their great potential to reach the highest levels. Tomorrow (March 21st) in Hanoi, I will continue my interaction with young talents aged 8, 9, and 10 to inspire them. I will dedicate myself to developing golf in Vietnam, starting with the children's golf movement,” Greg Norman shared.
