"Towards a Green Future 2050" launches its second season.

(Dan Tri Newspaper) - Following the success of over 16,000 entries in its first season, the "Send a Green Future 2050" competition is launching its second season with a larger scale, improved quality, and a total prize value exceeding 2.5 billion VND.

This creative playground for students from grades 2 to 8 promises to continue spreading the message of green education , green lifestyles, and environmental responsibility among the younger generation – the future citizens of the planet.

The "Sending a Green Future 2050" competition, organized by the Ministry of Education and Training in collaboration with the Foundation for a Green Future (part of Vingroup), is part of the Green Education Program for the period 2023-2028.

With a theme centered around three pillars of sustainable development: green education, green energy, and a green lifestyle, the competition encourages students to express their vision and commitment to the environment through various forms such as writing letters, drawing pictures, or creating videos . Contestants are divided into two categories: primary and secondary school.

The "Send a Green Future 2050" competition returns for its second season with three main content directions: green education, green energy, and a green lifestyle.

The competition consists of three rounds: provincial/city level, national preliminary round, and national final round.

Provincial/City Round: From July to October. Entries must be submitted online at www.guituonglaixanh2050.com.

National qualifying rounds: Take place in November and December.

National Finals: Scheduled to be held in February 2026, featuring the 300 best entries.

This year's competition has been upgraded in scale and prize value, with a total prize pool of over 2.5 billion VND, including: 6 first prizes, 30 second prizes, 60 third prizes, 120 consolation prizes, and 84 top 300 prizes. In addition, the competition also awards collective prizes to schools with a large number of high-quality entries.

Speaking on behalf of the organizing committee, Dr. Le Thai Ha - Executive Director of the Foundation for a Green Future, shared: “Sending to a Green Future 2050 is not simply a competition, but also a journey to awaken environmental responsibility in each student, from their early years. When given the opportunity to express their opinions and creativity for the planet, students not only learn to know, but also learn to act, to build the future. We believe that each submitted work is a seed sown, contributing to the formation of a generation of citizens with sustainable thinking, ready to accompany the country's green transformation process.”

“Sending a Green Future 2050” is not just about seeking green ideas today, but is also about building a future together with an entire generation – where development does not come at the expense of the environment and people are at the heart of the sustainable transformation journey. Each letter, drawing, or video is a small declaration of a larger mission: together, we nurture a generation that knows how to dream, dares to think, and acts so that the world tomorrow is greener than today.

The first season of the "Sending a Green Future 2050" competition attracted 16,000 students nationwide. The entries impressed with a range of innovative ideas such as: an eco-city model with whales that purify the air, a high-speed train powered by gravity shear waves, a smart hospital applying AI, and proposals on circular economy and smart consumption…
