In 1994, Dak Ha district separated from a part of Dak To district and Kon Tum city. The whole district has an area of over 840 km2 , 11 administrative units and 74,000 people.
Dak Ha district organizes 30th anniversary celebration
According to the People's Committee of Dak Ha district, when it was first established, the district had a low starting point, people's lives were still difficult and deprived; natural disasters and epidemics occurred continuously in the area; the rate of hungry and poor households accounted for 53.54% of the population. At that time, the illiteracy rate of the district was 27.6%. When it was first established, the district's medical facilities were seriously lacking, and many communes were still lacking in terms of health care.
Mr. Ha Tien, Chairman of Dak Ha District People's Committee, reviewed the 30-year journey of formation and development of the district.
The first years were full of hardship, the district's budget revenue reached 526 million VND, the average income was only over 2 million VND/person/year. The terrain was mountainous, the labor force was mainly ethnic minorities, so economic development was a difficult problem to solve.
However, after 30 years of construction and development, with the efforts of the entire political system and the consensus and response of the people, Dak Ha district has risen and changed. The district's economy has grown continuously at a high rate. The district's budget revenue by 2022 increased to 424,305 billion VND. Average income per capita increased to 49.62 million VND/person/year.
The district's transportation system has received attention, with hundreds of billions of dong invested by the State each year. Up to now, the district's transportation system has been relatively complete. The roads have been concreted, ensuring smooth traffic during the two rainy and sunny seasons. The power grid ensures that 100% of households have electricity for production and daily life, contributing to the economic and social development of the district.
Mr. Le Ngoc Tuan, Chairman of Kon Tum Provincial People's Committee, acknowledged and commended the efforts and endeavors that Dak Ha District has achieved.
Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Le Ngoc Tuan, Chairman of Kon Tum Provincial People's Committee acknowledged and praised the efforts and endeavors that the Party Committee, government and people of all ethnic groups in Dak Ha district have achieved over the past 30 years, contributing significantly to the overall achievements of the province.
Mr. Le Ngoc Tuan also requested the Party Committee, government and people of Dak Ha district to unite, focus on leadership and direction to successfully implement the set goals and targets. Focus on promoting the spirit of "self-reliance - autonomy - self-management" of the people, eliminating the mentality of waiting and relying on others. Continue to pay more attention to education and training to improve the quality of human resources; focus on vocational training for rural workers and labor export. Strengthen and create real changes in the work of building and rectifying the Party and the political system.
