The celebration was attended by current and former leaders of Kon Tum province and Dak Ha district, along with thousands of local residents.
In 1994, Dak Ha District separated from parts of Dak To District and Kon Tum City. The entire district covers an area of over 840 km² , has 11 administrative units and a population of 74,000 people.
Dak Ha District organizes a ceremony to celebrate its 30th anniversary.
According to the People's Committee of Dak Ha District, when it was first established, the district had a low starting point, the lives of the people were still difficult and lacking; natural disasters and epidemics occurred continuously in the area; the rate of hungry and poor households accounted for 53.54% of the population. At that time, the illiteracy rate in the district was 27.6%. When it was first established, the district's health sector infrastructure was severely lacking, with many communes having no healthcare facilities at all.
Mr. Ha Tien, Chairman of the People's Committee of Dak Ha District, reviewed the 30-year journey of the district's formation and development.
In the early years, which were full of difficulties, the entire district's budget revenue reached 526 million VND, and the average income was only slightly over 2 million VND per person per year. The hilly terrain and the predominantly ethnic minority workforce made economic development a challenging problem.
However, after 30 years of construction and development, thanks to the efforts of the entire political system and the unanimous support of the people, Dak Ha District has risen and transformed. The district's economy has grown continuously at a high rate. By 2022, the district's budget revenue had increased to 424.305 billion VND. Average per capita income increased to 49.62 million VND/person/year.
The transportation system in the district has received significant attention, with hundreds of billions of VND invested by the State each year. To date, the district's transportation system is relatively complete. Roads have been concreted, ensuring smooth traffic flow in both the rainy and dry seasons. The electricity grid ensures 100% of households have access to electricity for production and daily life, contributing to the district's economic and social development.
Mr. Le Ngoc Tuan, Chairman of the People's Committee of Kon Tum province, acknowledged and praised the efforts and achievements that Dak Ha district has made.
