Hanoi has 41 regional fire fighting and rescue teams.

On the afternoon of June 30, Hanoi City Police held a ceremony to announce the decision of the City Police Director on the organization and personnel work of the Fire Prevention, Fire Fighting and Rescue Police Department (PCCC and CNCH).

At the ceremony, Hanoi City Police awarded decisions to 30 commanders of firefighting and rescue teams in the area.

Accordingly, along with 11 established teams, the City Police have decided to establish 30 new regional firefighting and rescue teams, the predecessor of 30 firefighting and rescue police teams under the district-level police previously, bringing the total number of units under the Firefighting and Rescue Police Department to 41 teams.

Speaking at the announcement ceremony, Major General Nguyen Hong Ky, Deputy Director of the City Police Department, affirmed that the establishment of 30 regional firefighting and rescue teams is a strategic step, not only an expansion of the organization, but also an effort in the approach to fire prevention work "Closer to the people - Faster - More effective".

The event also marked a strong turning point in the process of perfecting the organizational structure and improving the operational efficiency of the fire prevention and fighting and rescue forces in the capital.

Major General Nguyen Hong Ky requested the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department and the team leaders and deputy team leaders to urgently stabilize the apparatus, review and complete the handover of work at the old unit and immediately receive the handover of work at the new unit, develop working regulations, assign tasks clearly and reasonably, ensure that each individual "knows the job, can do the job, and is responsible for the job"; urgently complete the report on perfecting the Party's grassroots organization and appoint Party committee personnel to ensure consistency in leadership and direction.

Appreciating the efforts to improve the apparatus of Hanoi City Police, Lieutenant General Nguyen Tuan Anh, Director of the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department ( Ministry of Public Security ) requested that command and operation must be carried out consistently, unitedly, promoting the command role of the Fire Prevention and Rescue Department for regional teams, ensuring unity, smooth coordination, and good completion of all assigned tasks.

"Continue to review, consolidate, and establish firefighting and rescue teams to ensure the protection radius, forces, means, facilities... meet work requirements, not omitting or leaving out areas and facilities, contributing to controlling and reducing the number of fires and damage caused by fires, creating favorable conditions for socio -economic development," Lieutenant General Nguyen Tuan Anh stated.
