To achieve this goal, the Hanoi Department of Tourism will promote the development of new domestic tourism programs, implement the program "Hanoi people and tourists experience services at 4-5 star hotels", along with the campaign "Vietnamese people prioritize using Vietnamese products." In addition, Hanoi will also organize preferential tours connecting inner-city tourist destinations, coordinate with travel and transportation businesses to implement promotional programs, and improve the quality of tourism services.
The city also plans to host a series of major cultural and tourism events, including the Tourism Gift Festival, the Ao Dai Tourism Festival, the Tourism Festival and the Autumn Festival. Hanoi will strengthen cooperation with key capitals and localities in the country, organize forums to attract international visitors, and develop inter-regional tourism products.

In terms of promotion and advertising, the capital's tourism industry will participate in programs in provinces and cities across the country, respond to the National Tourism Year 2025 in Hue, and organize activities to honor craft village tourism. For the international market, Hanoi will promote its image in France, Italy, Switzerland; attend major tourism fairs such as ITB ASIA 2025 (Singapore), IMEX Frankfurt (Germany), Tourism Expo Japan (Japan), FTM Top Resa (France); coordinate with airlines to welcome international FAMTRIP and PRESSTRIP delegations.
At the same time, the Department of Tourism has stepped up propaganda through the press, digital platforms such as Facebook, YouTube, TikTok; promoted on Vietnam Airlines flights; published publications, clips, and organized the "Beautiful Photos of Hanoi Tourism" contest to celebrate the 65th anniversary of Vietnam Tourism Day.
In particular, Hanoi focuses on digital transformation in tourism, applying information technology to administrative reform, digitizing destinations, developing smart explanation systems, digital addresses, integrating management data and applying AI in promotion. The city will also install information booths in Hoan Kiem Old Quarter and key tourist destinations, ensuring a safe, civilized and friendly tourism environment.
According to the Hanoi Department of Tourism, in 2024, the total number of tourists to Hanoi will reach 27.86 million (up 12.7% compared to 2023), including 6.35 million international visitors (up 34.4% compared to 2023). Total revenue from tourists will reach about 110.52 trillion VND, up 18.3% compared to 2023. |
