Through the exhibition, organizations and individuals can access, learn about, and connect with creative design activities, develop ideas, and meet and suit customer needs and tastes. This will contribute to the development and formation of a destination for creative design, showcasing, promoting, and selling OCOP products and craft products linked to tourism .
This exhibition is the fourth event in a series of events promoting and connecting OCOP products and traditional craft villages for tourism purposes, under the Plan for Developing Creative Design Centers, Introducing, Promoting, and Selling OCOP Products and Traditional Craft Villages Linked to Tourism in Districts and Towns of Hanoi City in 2024. The plan aims to create a collaborative environment between artisans, skilled craftsmen, and young designers with an entrepreneurial spirit, leveraging local cultural advantages and the aspirations for economic development of the craft village community in the city's districts and towns. In 2024, the Hanoi People's Committee assigned the Department of Industry and Trade to preside over the recognition of the model of Creative Design Centers, Introducing, Promoting, and Selling OCOP Products and Traditional Craft Villages Linked to Tourism at the commune level for districts within the city. Specifically, Tan Hoa commune in Quoc Oai district is one of six locations proposed for recognition as a model center for creative design, introduction, promotion, and sale of OCOP products and traditional craft products associated with tourism at the commune level in 2024.
Quoc Oai District currently has 22 artisans from traditional craft villages who have been honored by the State. Among them, one is an Outstanding Artisan awarded by the President , and 21 artisans are recognized by the city. In addition, hundreds of other artisans and skilled craftsmen in the district have been honored. “We hope that after this recognition, it will be a bright spot in the development of the Creative Design Center model, becoming a place for exchange, connection, and display of traditional craft products. At the same time, it will be a driving force for the development of more Creative Design Center models in the district,” said Nguyen Dinh Thang, Deputy Director of the Hanoi Department of Industry and Trade. The exhibition will take place from November 7th to 10th, 2024.
