Along with investment promotion and attraction efforts, the city has directed and urged contractors and construction units to focus resources on accelerating the completion of key projects and infrastructure development, contributing to the acceleration of public investment disbursement.

In 2024, Hanoi city has 226 concentrated public investment projects for basic construction, including: 155 transitional projects with an investment of VND 205.5 trillion (the planned disbursement for 2024 is VND 24.4 trillion); and 71 new projects started construction during the year with a total investment of VND 7.2 trillion (the planned disbursement for the year is VND 1.1 trillion).
The transportation sector has 58 projects, accounting for 19.5% of the planned capital. To date, key projects and works in the city are being urgently constructed, aiming for early completion of items according to the set plan.
Ring Road 1 Project, Hoang Cau - Voi Phuc section (Phase 1)
The project has a length of 2.3 km, a cross-section of 50 m, and includes two overpasses at the Lang Ha - Nguyen Chi Thanh intersection. The starting point of the route intersects with the Cat Linh - La Thanh - Yen Lang road at Hoang Cau (Dong Da district) and the end point is at the Voi Phuc intersection (Ba Dinh district). Phase 1 of the project has an investment of over 7.2 trillion VND from the city budget, including 627 billion VND for construction costs and 5.8 trillion VND for land acquisition. To date, the project has disbursed 32.4% of the planned capital.
Project to renovate and upgrade National Highway 6, section Ba La - Xuan Mai
The project involves the renovation of a 21.7 km section from the Ba La intersection in Ha Dong district to Xuan Mai town in Chuong My district. The upgrade will expand the road to 4-6 lanes, with a design speed of 80 km/h and a roadbed width of 50-60m, contributing to the completion of the radial road axis connecting National Highway 21A ( Ho Chi Minh Highway) and the Ring Road 4 of the Capital Region.
The total investment capital is 8.1 trillion VND from the city's budget, including over 5.1 trillion VND for land clearance and 2.9 trillion VND for construction and equipment procurement. To date, the project has disbursed 7.5% of the planned capital.
The Thang Long Boulevard expressway project, the section connecting National Highway 21 to the Hanoi - Hoa Binh expressway.
The Thang Long Boulevard Expressway project, the section connecting National Highway 21 to the Hanoi - Hoa Binh Expressway, has a length of 6.7 km. The starting point connects the Thang Long Boulevard Expressway with National Highway 21 in Thach Hoa commune, Thach That district, and the end point connects with the Hoa Lac - Hoa Binh road; the cross-section ranges from 120m to 180m. The total investment for the entire project is 5.2 trillion VND. To date, the project has disbursed 7.3% of the planned capital.
Hanoi Children's Hospital Construction Project - Phase 1
With a total investment of nearly 785 billion VND, the project is being built on a 67,900 m2 plot of land in Yen Nghia ward, Ha Dong district. The project consists of a 6-story building with 2 units, designed to accommodate 200 inpatient beds. To date, 53.6% of the planned capital has been disbursed. The construction is expected to be completed and put into operation by the end of 2024.
Hanoi Children's Palace Project
The project commenced in March 2021 with a total investment of over 1.3 trillion VND. The construction is located in the CV1 park and regulating lake area of the Cau Giay New Urban Area, covering a total area of 39,600 m2, of which the construction area is 10,300 m2. To date, the project has disbursed 75.8% of its planned capital. The project is expected to be completed and handed over for use in the third quarter of 2024.
