Notably, the restroom is located right next to the food processing area. Insects and animal feces are also present in the production area. In addition, the labeling of the rice cake product does not comply with the regulations on product labeling and is inconsistent with the product declaration.

In the immediate future, two products, green rice cake and xu xe cake, will be sampled for quality standard testing.

According to a reporter from Cong Thuong Newspaper at 11 Hang Than Street late this afternoon, this establishment still had customers coming in and out to buy the store's products.

Authorities will continue to assess the actual food safety level of the Nguyen Ninh green rice cake brand, but from now on, it can be seen that this leading green rice cake brand in Hanoi, which has spanned over a period of 3 centuries, has been severely affected, and may even have to endure a long-term boycott by consumers.

Originally a shop selling green rice cakes located at the top of Hang Than slope, the Nguyen Ninh brand has spread throughout the long-standing street like Hang Than street with many shops "imitating" the name Nguyen Ninh to create a street that almost only sells one product: green rice cakes to serve the diverse consumption needs of Hanoians and other provinces and cities across the country.

However, the authenticity and quality of green rice cakes at shops on Hang Than Street have long been left unanswered, and the intervention of Hanoi authorities to accurately determine the quality of this product is timely and necessary, albeit a bit late.

According to some consumers, recently, the quality of Nguyen Ninh green rice cakes has clearly declined, completely unworthy of a brand that is loved by consumers. The ingredients used to make the cakes are no longer of the same quality as before, the cakes are easily broken and too sticky, and easily get moldy right after purchase if the weather is humid.
