On June 13, the program "Light up dreams, help children go to school" sponsored by Dinh Hong Ngoc Chau, Dinh Hong Minh Chau and Nhieu Loc Company Limited organized a gift giving ceremony for students from poor, near-poor and disadvantaged households in Phu Yen.

The two international students and sponsors presented 30 gifts to students of Luong The Vinh Secondary School and 50 gifts to students of Nguyen Kim Vang Primary School (both in Tuy Hoa City, Phu Yen). The value of the gifts for students and support for equipment and materials for each school is 300 million VND; the total amount of money presented this time is 600 million VND.

Ngoc Chau shared that she wants to contribute her efforts to support students here to have better learning conditions.

Chau said that when she was still in school, she understood that knowledge can change a person's life, but the path to knowledge is never easy, especially for students in deprived areas. Not everyone can use a TV or laptop to watch online lectures.

"I always believe that every student here has dreams and aspirations. And they deserve to have access to better learning conditions, so they don't have to give up their dreams," Ngoc Chau said.

Ngoc Chau also shared that this is a fund that she and her twin sister Minh Chau have nurtured since 8th grade. After that, the two of them raised donations and called for sponsors. When they had enough money, they chose schools to give gifts to. Those are 2 schools in her mother's hometown.

Both Ngoc Chau and Minh Chau plan to continue maintaining the fund to give more gifts to students in remote districts of Phu Yen.

Mr. Huynh Thuc Tien - Principal of Luong The Vinh Secondary School - said that the school appreciates the sponsor's heart, Ngoc Chau, Minh Chau and their family for their love and support for the students.

“With the motto of not leaving anyone behind, this support is very practical, timely, encouraging, and motivating poor students and those with difficult circumstances at school. I also want to tell the students that when receiving these gifts, they must appreciate and strive to study…”, said Mr. Tien.

Ms. Huynh Thi Thao - Principal of Nguyen Kim Vang Primary School - also sent her thanks for the gifts, support from the sponsors and Minh Chau and Ngoc Chau.
