In addition to the overall global airline rankings, AirlineRatings.com also awards airlines in a variety of categories. This year, Qatar Airways was named best business class for the fifth consecutive year, as well as best catering.
Other notable winners for 2024 include Air New Zealand (best economy class), Singapore Airlines (best first class), Virgin Australia (best cabin crew), Emirates (best in-flight entertainment, best premium economy), Qantas (best lounge) and Etihad Airways (best environment airline).
Airline Ratings.com also ranked the best low-cost airlines by region and the winners were Southwest (for the Americas), Fly Dubai (Middle East), Air Asia Group (Asia), Jetstar Group (Australia/ Pacific ) and easyJet (Europe).
Vietnamese airline Vietjet won two awards: best low-cost airline and best low-cost airline for inflight hospitality (recognizing the value of inflight service).
