Hai Phong issues telegram on response to tropical depression in the East Sea

The Hai Phong City Civil Defense Command has just sent a telegram to departments, branches and localities about responding to the tropical depression in the East Sea.

The telegram stated that, according to the bulletin of the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting and the Hai Phong City Hydro-Meteorological Station: At 1:00 p.m. on August 27, 2025, the center of the tropical depression was at 17.6 degrees north latitude, 118.7 degrees east longitude, in the eastern sea of ​​the North East Sea, the strongest wind near the center of the tropical depression was level 6, gusting to level 8.

Forecast in the next 24 hours, the tropical depression moves west-southwest at a speed of 10 - 15km/h.

Pursuant to Official Dispatch No. 6099/CD-BNNMT dated August 27, 2025 of the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment on responding to tropical depression in the East Sea, the City Civil Defense Command requests the Civil Defense Commands of localities, departments, branches, agencies, and units to closely monitor the forecast bulletin and developments of tropical depression; strictly manage means of transport going to sea.

Organize counting and notify owners of vehicles and captains of ships and boats operating at sea of ​​the location, direction of movement and developments of tropical depressions so that they can proactively avoid, escape or not move into dangerous areas.

Proactively move and anchor aquaculture cages in bays and along rivers to safe places; maintain communication to promptly handle bad situations that may occur. Prepare forces and means for rescue when required.
