
On the evening of August 27, at the Center for Culture, Cinema and Exhibition, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Hai Phong organized the opening ceremony of the photo and documentary exhibition "80 years - Forever resounding heroic song of independence" and the summary and award ceremony of the Fine Arts and Photography Contest with the theme "Hai Phong - Faith and aspiration to rise up".

Attending the event were leaders of relevant departments, agencies, units and many people and tourists.
The exhibition displays two main content areas: The documentary photo series "80 years - Forever resounding heroic independence" includes 200 images collected and compiled by the Center for Culture, Cinema and Exhibition.

The photo series summarizes the historical milestones of the August Revolution and National Day on September 2, while also reflecting the outstanding achievements of the country and Hai Phong city over the past 80 years in the fields of economy , culture - society, national defense - security, health, education, etc.

The exhibition displays 140 works of art and photography selected from nearly 600 entries in the Art and Photography Competition “ Hai Phong - Faith and Aspiration to Rise”. The works vividly reflect the beauty, change, vitality and development aspirations of the Port City in the new era.

At the opening ceremony, the Organizing Committee awarded 22 prizes to authors with outstanding works, including: 2 first prizes, 4 second prizes, 6 third prizes and 10 consolation prizes in both fine arts and photography categories.
The first prize in fine arts went to the work “Afternoon on the Street” by Pham Anh Tuan (Hai Phong). The first prize in photography went to the work “Hai Phong Enters a New Era” by Giang Son Dong (Hai Phong).

The exhibition is open to the public from August 27 to September 5, 2025.
This is a key activity to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution (August 19, 1945 - August 19, 2025) and National Day September 2 (1945 - 2025). The activity not only contributes to reviewing the heroic traditions of the nation and the city, but also spreads the love for the homeland, pride, and aspirations of Hai Phong people in the new development period.
