An Giang Provincial People's Committee Office improves the quality of consultation and service

Nguyen Thanh Phong, Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the Provincial People's Committee, and Permanent Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of An Giang Province, attended and directed the conference.

Following the merger, the Office of the People's Committee of An Giang province has 152 civil servants, 57 public employees receiving salaries from the state budget, 42 public employees receiving salaries from revenue generated from business activities, and 21 contract workers. Over the past two months, the Office has stabilized its organization, ensuring effective advisory, comprehensive, and support functions, as well as monitoring and urging the implementation of tasks assigned by the Government , the Provincial Party Committee, and the Provincial People's Committee.

From July 1st to the present, the office has received over 11,000 documents, issued over 4,400 directive and operational documents, and publicly disclosed 2,175 administrative procedures, of which 1,837 procedures are processed at the public administrative service center. The office has also facilitated over 50 meetings and conferences of the Provincial People's Committee and received 6 working delegations from the Central Government...

The management of facilities and equipment was ensured in a timely manner. 100% of civil servants processed and digitally signed documents using electronic software; the online conferencing system operated 68 meetings, connecting to 102 communes, wards, and special zones. The Office strengthened coordination with departments, agencies, and localities, providing timely advice in accordance with the working regulations of the Provincial People's Committee.

Speaking at the conference, Standing Committee member of the Provincial Party Committee, Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the Provincial People's Committee, and Permanent Vice Chairman of the An Giang Provincial People's Committee, Nguyen Thanh Phong, highly appreciated the sense of responsibility of the Provincial People's Committee Office in both reorganizing the apparatus and effectively advising and serving the direction and management work of the Provincial People's Committee.

Comrade Nguyen Thanh Phong suggested that in the coming period, the office should continue to promote its role and responsibilities, pay attention to the lives and morale of cadres, civil servants, and employees; improve the quality of advice, especially in monitoring and urging in leadership and management.

To improve work processes and regulations; standardize effective work handling methods; promote the application of information technology and digital transformation, aiming to modernize leadership and management, and provide increasingly better, transparent, and public services to citizens and businesses. At the same time, to continue strengthening the organization and personnel; review and rationally assign tasks, leverage each official's strengths, and build a team of civil servants and public employees with strong political convictions and exemplary public service ethics.

In the immediate future, the Provincial People's Committee's staffing office needs to supplement its staff according to the plan, especially the research specialist team, to improve the quality of its advisory and synthesis services. The office needs to strengthen coordination, tighten administrative discipline and order, establish an effective coordination mechanism with departments, agencies, and localities, and ensure timely and accurate information. At the same time, it should advise the Provincial People's Committee on organizing events effectively, achieving the 2025 growth targets, and preparing for the APEC 2027 Conference.
