On the morning of August 28, the exhibition of national achievements in celebration of the 80th anniversary of National Day with the theme "80 years of the journey of Independence - Freedom - Happiness" officially opened at the National Exhibition Center (Dong Anh, Hanoi ). From 13:00 on the same day, the exhibition opened free of charge to serve the people and visitors.

The exhibition is an event of great significance; an opportunity for the public to look back on the arduous but also extremely glorious historical journey of the nation; affirm Vietnam's position in the international arena; strengthen faith in the bright future of the country; create motivation and inspiration for the entire nation to enter an era of rich, civilized, powerful and prosperous development.

The exhibition of national achievements with the theme: "80 years of the journey of Independence - Freedom - Happiness" is held on an area of nearly 260,000 m2 including indoor exhibition space (Permanent Exhibition Center (House A) and Kim Quy Exhibition Center) and outdoor exhibition space.

In the outdoor area, there are exhibition spaces with the following themes: Sword and Shield; For a Green Future, Aspiration for the Sky; National Festival. In which, the exhibition space "Sword and Shield" displays typical weapons and technical equipment researched and manufactured by Vietnam and weapons and technical equipment in the Army and Police. The exhibition space "For a Green Future, Aspiration for the Sky" introduces products and achievements of the energy and environmental technology industries, especially real aircraft, models, sand tables, experience areas, interactive screens, 3D videos . The exhibition area "National Festival" includes exhibitions, fairs, cuisine, and experiences of agencies, units, and localities nationwide.

At the permanent exhibition center (building A), a "picture" of achievements from 12 cultural industries is introduced, such as advertising, architecture, software and entertainment games, handicrafts, design, cinema, publishing, fashion, performing arts, fine arts, photography and exhibitions, television and radio, cultural tourism, etc.

The highlight and main space of the Exhibition “80 years of Independence - Freedom - Happiness journey” is the display space at Kim Quy Exhibition House - which sketches a panoramic, vibrant picture of the 80-year journey of building and developing the country with the theme “Vietnam - Journey to a new era”.

With the participation of nearly 300 units from ministries, departments, branches, 34 provinces and cities and enterprises nationwide, the exhibition area is divided into 6 themes, closely related to the country's development journey such as: Vietnam - Country - People; 95 years of the Party Flag guiding the way; Creation and development; Economic locomotive; National startup; Rich province, strong country.

Through the display of large panels, models, photos, drawings, documents, artifacts combined with 3D mapping projection, virtual reality experience, multimedia audiovisual works, digital technology applications, AI... the exhibition introduces the history and culture of Vietnam - the country - people with thousands of years of cultural traditions; the richness and diversity of the cultures of 54 ethnic groups; the richness of resources, products of the three regions and outstanding architectural works past and present across the country. The exhibition introduces many typical products and symbols; development achievements in all fields such as industry, technology; investment, trade; agriculture, rural areas; security, defense; foreign affairs; health, education; culture, sports and tourism...

The exhibition "80 years of the journey of Independence - Freedom - Happiness" welcomes people and tourists from August 28 to September 5, 2025.
