Secret bunker of fascist dictator Mussolini in Rome

VnExpressVnExpress20/04/2024

The bunker was built in the shape of a cross with corridors 15 m long and 2.5 m wide, reinforced with 4 m thick reinforced concrete. Construction began in December 1942. By the time the dictator was arrested on July 25, 1943, the bunker was still incomplete - lacking watertight doors, final ventilation systems and toilets.

The bunker first opened to visitors in 2006, but was closed two years later. In the following years, the bunker opened intermittently.
