Ham Rong launches 3 competitions to promote local tourism.

Ham Rong Ward (Thanh Hoa) organized three competitions: one for beautiful photos, one for creating a logo, and one for innovative tourism development ideas and products, all aimed at strongly promoting the local image.

On the morning of May 26th, the People's Committee of Ham Rong Ward (Thanh Hoa Province) held a conference to announce the plan and regulations for the competitions: "Beautiful Photos of Ham Rong", "Designing a Ham Rong Logo", and "Ideas for Tourism Development and Creative Tourism Products in Ham Rong".

Speaking at the conference, Mr. Le Minh Tuan, Vice Chairman of the Ham Rong Ward People's Committee, emphasized that organizing three competitions simultaneously aims to promote the image of Ham Rong, a land rich in historical traditions, culture, and unique natural landscapes, while also fostering creativity within the community and contributing to the development of local tourism in a professional, modern, and sustainable direction.

The competition was organized to select beautiful photographs, unique logos, and creative ideas to promote tourism development in Ham Rong. It also contributes to raising awareness and promoting the tourism potential, culture, history, and natural landscapes of the locality to visitors from within and outside the province.

For the "Beautiful Ham Rong Photos" contest, the organizing committee chose the theme "Ham Rong - A Land of Heritage". Entries should focus on reflecting the natural beauty, scenic spots, historical relics, architecture, traditional crafts, festivals, cultural life, and people of Ham Rong. The organizing committee encourages fresh, creative perspectives that reflect the local cultural identity and create appeal for tourists.

According to the regulations, submitted photos must have been taken within Ham Rong ward from January 1, 2025, until the deadline for submissions. Entries must be printed photos measuring 40x60cm, accompanied by a digital JPG file. The organizers will not accept photos that are digitally manipulated or altered to reflect the actual content of the image.

The competition's prize structure includes: 1 first prize worth 10 million VND; 2 second prizes, each worth 5 million VND; 3 third prizes, each worth 3 million VND; and 10 consolation prizes worth 1 million VND each. In addition, approximately 50 outstanding works will be selected for display to promote tourism in Ham Rong.

For the "Ham Rong Tourism Development and Product Innovation Ideas" competition, the organizing committee encourages ideas that effectively exploit local potential and advantages; develop new experiential tourism products such as cave exploration, mountain climbing, community tourism, agricultural experiences, souvenirs, tourism gifts, or apply digital technology in tourism promotion.

Submitted ideas must clearly demonstrate objectives, market needs, implementation plans, economic efficiency, and the potential to contribute to the community. The judging panel will evaluate based on criteria such as creativity, cultural symbolism, commercialization potential, environmental friendliness, and sustainable development potential.

The prize structure for this event includes: First prize worth 10 million VND; second prize 5 million VND; third prize 3 million VND; and consolation prizes worth 2 million VND each.

According to the organizers, the competition will run until September 30, 2026. Judging and exhibition of the works are expected to take place in October and November 2026; the closing ceremony and awards presentation will be held at the end of the fourth quarter of 2026.
