Celebrate Christmas with the joy of the nation.

In Dong Nai province, there are many Catholic and Protestant residents. Therefore, all activities of the province have an impact on Catholic and Protestant parishioners, and people of these two religions do not remain indifferent but actively participate in the development of the province.

Father Nguyen Xuan Huy, Dean of the Ho Nai Deanery and Parish Priest of Bac Hai Parish (in Long Binh Ward), said: "Besides focusing on developing the economy and legitimately enriching themselves, parishioners are very concerned about community support activities. Therefore, in addition to decorating with miniature landscapes and lights to celebrate Christmas from their homes to the streets, parish groups also have activities to donate gifts and encourage people in difficult circumstances, regardless of their religious affiliation, during the Christmas season."

In particular, regarding the activities of the province and the country, religious leaders, officials, and parishioners always closely follow and hope for the best possible outcomes. Father Nguyen Xuan Huy further shared: “On December 15th and 19th, when we received information that the first technical flights would land at Long Thanh Airport, I and the parishioners followed the news, praying that everything would go as planned and that all our wishes would be fulfilled. We are happy because this marks important progress for the province and the country.”

Furthermore, overcoming difficulties and challenges, in 2025, the province's budget revenue is expected to reach 100 trillion VND, key projects in the province will be accelerated, transportation infrastructure will be renovated and expanded to facilitate trade and travel for the people, culture and society will develop harmoniously, national defense and security, social order and safety will be maintained, and the national unity will be strengthened and expanded…

According to Father Tran Xuan Thao, Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Catholic Solidarity Committee and Chairman of the Vietnam Catholic Solidarity Committee of Dong Nai province, the beneficiaries of these achievements are the people, including the Catholic community. Therefore, the Catholic community is delighted with the development of Dong Nai province and the country.

Sister Nguyen Thi Quynh Giao, Superior of the Dominican Sisters of the Sacred Heart (in Long Binh ward), added: “In 2025, the State will implement a policy of waiving tuition fees for students, which is very meaningful. People will also receive 100,000 VND from the State on the occasion of National Day on September 2nd. The gift is not about the amount of money, but about showing the State's concern for the spiritual lives of the people. Only when our country develops will the State have the means to care for all its citizens.”

According to Pastor Phan Dinh Hao, representative of the Southern Vietnam Evangelical Church, religious activities have been very smooth recently thanks to the attention of the authorities at all levels. For example, during this Christmas season, local authorities visited and sent their best wishes to the clergy, church officials, and believers. At the same time, local authorities deployed forces to help the church maintain security and order, protect people's property, and regulate traffic when people came to attend the service.

Accompanying the province's development.

In keeping with the Christmas celebrations of the Catholic and Protestant communities, the leaders of the Provincial Party Committee, Provincial People's Council, Provincial People's Committee, and the Provincial Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front sent a Christmas greeting letter for 2025 and organized delegations to parishes, religious orders, and congregations to share the joy with clergy, monks, church officials, and parishioners.

During a recent visit to the Xuan Loc Bishopric, Comrade Vu Hong Van, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Head of the National Assembly Delegation of Dong Nai Province, emphasized that 2025 is a year of special significance, marked by many important events for the country and the province, including the successful First Congress of the Dong Nai Provincial Party Committee, term 2025-2030. This is an important and solid foundation for successfully implementing the goals and tasks of the 2025-2030 period, striving to ensure that by 2030, Dong Nai Province will basically meet the criteria of a centrally-governed city. Furthermore, 2026 will see many special events such as the 14th National Congress of the Party, the election of deputies to the 16th National Assembly and People's Councils at all levels for the 2026-2031 term. The Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Dong Nai province trust that Catholic clergy, officials, and people will continue to uphold the spirit of "Reverence for God, love for the country," "Living the Gospel in the heart of the nation, to serve the happiness of the people," spreading the spirit of "Harmony - sharing - service," actively participating in patriotic emulation movements and campaigns, contributing to building a green, prosperous, beautiful, civilized, and modern Dong Nai province.

According to Father Tran Xuan Thao, Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Catholic Solidarity Committee and Chairman of the Vietnam Catholic Solidarity Committee of Dong Nai province, the total budget for charitable and social activities among Catholics in Dong Nai province in 2025 will exceed 252 billion VND.

On behalf of the clergy, officials, and Catholic people of Dong Nai province, Bishop Do Van Ngan, Bishop of the Xuan Loc Diocese, affirmed: In the coming time, the bishops, priests, and Catholic people of the diocese will continue to promote the spirit of living a "good life and a beautiful faith," contributing even more to the overall development of the country and the province.

Furthermore, according to Father Nguyen Minh Chanh, Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Catholic Solidarity Committee of Dong Nai province and Parish Priest of An Khuong parish (in Tan Hung commune), the Vietnam Catholic Solidarity Committee of Dong Nai province serves as a bridge between the Party, the government, and Catholic clergy, officials, and the Catholic community. Therefore, to support the province's development, in 2026, the Vietnam Catholic Solidarity Committee of Dong Nai province will continue to implement the pastoral direction of "Living the Gospel in the heart of the nation, to serve the happiness of the people" through responding to patriotic emulation campaigns and movements launched by the government and the Vietnam Fatherland Front. It will guide and encourage Catholics to continue implementing and concretizing the contents of the resolutions of the first Party Congress at all levels, term 2025-2030; and the Resolution of the first Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front of Dong Nai province, term 2025-2030. Resolution of the 8th Congress of Vietnamese Catholics on National Construction and Defense, term 2023-2028, in the province. Continue to establish grassroots Catholic solidarity committees, innovate the content of activities… These tasks aim to further develop the patriotic emulation movement among Catholics sustainably, contributing more to the development of the province and the country.
