From programs to improve the lives and support of workers in difficult circumstances to activities to enhance occupational safety and health, the trade unions at all levels in Dong Nai city have created a vibrant atmosphere, spreading the spirit of solidarity and sharing within the business community.

Focusing operations on the grassroots level.

According to Bui Thi Bich Thuy, Vice President of the Dong Nai City Federation of Labor, the Workers' Month is an opportunity for all levels of trade unions to affirm their role in supporting workers, especially in the context of Dong Nai being one of the localities with a large concentration of workers in the country. Accordingly, starting from the end of April 2026, the Dong Nai Trade Union launched many large-scale activities, and many meaningful gifts were handed directly to workers in difficult circumstances or suffering from serious illnesses, thereby providing them with more motivation to overcome difficulties and feel secure in their commitment to the enterprise.

The highlight of Workers' Month in Dong Nai was the strong focus on grassroots activities. The 2026 Workers' Health Day, themed "Proactive Disease Prevention - For a Healthy Vietnam," attracted over 1,500 union members and workers. At the event, workers received psychological counseling on childcare skills in the digital age; reproductive health counseling; and health check-ups and consultations for female workers. In addition, workers participated in OCOP (One Commune One Product) stalls and purchased essential products at preferential prices.

Ms. Le Thi Hanh, a worker at Tokin Electronics Vietnam Co., Ltd. (Long Binh ward), said: "Participating in the health day organized by the Dong Nai City Labor Union, I received advice from doctors and medical staff on nutrition, health care, and prevention of common diseases. The event helped me raise my awareness of protecting my own health so that I can work and produce with peace of mind. I hope the Labor Union will organize more practical programs so that workers can enjoy and improve their spiritual lives."

Alongside caregiving efforts, awareness campaigns on occupational safety are also being widely implemented in industrial zones, factories, and enterprises. Local trade unions, in coordination with businesses, organize training sessions, inspect working conditions, and raise awareness about preventing occupational accidents and diseases. The theme "Innovating management and improving the effectiveness of occupational safety and health in the digital age" is concretized through various practical models tailored to the production conditions of each enterprise.

Diverse forms of care

Many grassroots trade unions in various units and enterprises have organized programs to express gratitude to workers, providing free health check-ups, legal advice, gifts, and care for the spiritual well-being of union members and workers. For example, recently, the Dong Xoai Ward Trade Union visited, encouraged, and presented gifts to 12 union members, workers, and employees who had suffered work accidents or serious illnesses and were in difficult circumstances in the ward; each gift was worth 700,000 VND (including cash and in-kind gifts). The total cost of the program was 8.4 million VND.

Ms. Ngo Thi Yen, Vice Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Dong Xoai Ward and Chairwoman of the Ward's Trade Union, stated: "The activities of visiting and giving gifts not only demonstrate the spirit of mutual support and sharing of the Trade Union organization but also contribute to spreading the profound humanitarian meaning of the 2026 Workers' Month. Through this, we continue to affirm the role of the Trade Union organization as a reliable support and companion for union members and workers in all circumstances."

At the Nhon Trach Ward Trade Union, the "Thank You to Workers" program attracted many union members, creating a strong bond between the trade union and the workers. Within the framework of the program, the organizing committee awarded prizes to outstanding individuals and groups in the online competition on understanding current labor laws. In addition, participating workers received gifts totaling nearly 40 million VND. The program also featured a lively raffle, adding to the joy and excitement of the union members and workers.

With many positive achievements, the 2026 Workers' Month continues to affirm the role of the Trade Union organization in accompanying, caring for, and protecting the rights of workers, contributing to promoting the sustainable socio -economic development of Dong Nai city.

Beyond providing material support, this year's Workers' Month also created beneficial cultural and sporting events for employees. A prime example is the 14th Workers' Football Tournament of Freewell Co., Ltd. (Bac Dong Phu Industrial Park, Dong Phu Ward). This year's tournament brought together many teams from various departments within the company, delivering exciting and visually appealing matches with enthusiastic and united spirit. This contributed to promoting sports and physical activity and enhancing team spirit throughout the company.

It is evident that this year's Workers' Month in Dong Nai is not only a widespread political and social event but also a testament to the concern of all levels and sectors for the workforce. Practical and meaningful activities have contributed to improving the material and spiritual lives of workers; while simultaneously building harmonious, stable, and progressive labor relations within enterprises.
