Hundreds of flights bring Russian tourists back to Nha Trang

Good news for Khanh Hoa tourism industry as hundreds of flights connecting 11 Russian cities to Nha Trang will be restored from mid-March.

On March 4, Anex Vietnam Company announced that from March 16, Anex Vietnam will officially resume charter flights connecting 11 Russian cities to Cam Ranh airport, Khanh Hoa .

The flights will be operated by Azur Air LLC, using a fleet of Boeing 757, Boeing 767 and Boeing 777 aircraft, bringing passengers from 11 cities: Moscow, Ekaterinburg, Khabarovsk, Vladivostok, Barnaul, Krasnoyarsk, Novosibirsk, Irkutsk, Tomsk, Novokuznetsk, Blagoveshchensk entering via Cam Ranh International Airport.

It is expected that there will be 12 flights in March; from April to June there will be 50 - 55 flights/month; from July onwards it is expected to increase to 90 - 100 flights/month.

The first flight departed from Irkutsk on March 16, and is expected to land at Cam Ranh International Airport on March 17 with 238 passengers. Russian tourists to Khanh Hoa will stay at 3-5 star hotels and resorts, with a minimum stay of 5 nights.

Due to the impact of the Russia-Ukraine conflict, flights from Russia to Khanh Hoa have been suspended since March 2022 until now.

In 2024, Anex Vietnam welcomed 46,348 visitors from the CIS bloc to Khanh Hoa for tourism and relaxation, contributing to making Nha Trang a favorite destination for international tourists.

This is good news for Khanh Hoa tourism industry. It is known that in 2025, Khanh Hoa tourism industry aims to welcome 11.8 million visitors, including 5.2 million international visitors, 6.6 million domestic visitors, tourism revenue reaching 60,000 billion VND.

Previously on February 24, the leader of Khanh Hoa Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism said that it is estimated that in February 2025, the whole province will welcome about 920,000 overnight guests, down more than 2.3% compared to the same period in 2024. Specifically, international visitors are estimated at 455,000, up 1% over the same period; domestic visitors are estimated at 465,000, down 5.3% over the same period. Total tourism revenue in February 2025 is estimated at VND 4,779.3 billion, down 6% over the same period.
