The donated organs were transferred from Gia Dinh People's Hospital to Tan Son Nhat Airport to fly to Hue on a Vietnam Airlines flight early in the morning of June 29.
On that flight, a donated heart from Gia Dinh People's Hospital was transported, bringing hope of life to a patient waiting for an organ transplant at Hue Central Hospital.
As soon as landing at Phu Bai airport at 7:15 a.m., a team of 4 doctors from Hue Central Hospital quickly brought the organs to the hospital to perform the transplant, continuing the noble mission of awakening new life from the noble act of the donor.
Previously, upon receiving information from the National Organ Transplant Coordination Center, Vietnam Airlines supported the implementation of travel procedures for the medical team to urgently move to Ho Chi Minh City on the night of June 28 to collect organs, ready for the journey to Hue early the next morning.
