Let's eliminate evil together.

On the evening of August 9th, in the lobby of the Sky Central apartment building in Hanoi, a tattooed man violently attacked a woman, repeatedly punching and kicking her in front of four children. The scene was horrifying and infuriating to anyone who watched the video clip.

Violence, especially violence against women and children, not only inflicts physical harm but also taints humanity. When it happens in front of children, those terrified eyes leave lasting memories, sowing seeds of confusion and insecurity. What will society be like if violence becomes commonplace, if children grow up believing that fists can resolve all conflicts?

It must be clearly stated that no reason can justify thuggish behavior. Personal conflicts and communication disagreements, no matter how serious, must be resolved through dialogue or legal means. Punches and kicks not only hurt the victims but also shatter the community's trust in the safety of their living environment.

From a legal perspective, this act is a serious violation that needs to be dealt with promptly and publicly to deter others. The law only truly carries weight when it is enforced transparently, without exception or leniency. But eliminating evil is not solely the responsibility of authorities. The community and individuals must also contribute. In this case, some people stood by and watched without intervening; that is a dangerous silence. Evil grows when it is tolerated or ignored.

Poet Nguyen Quang Thieu called the perpetrator "a beast in human form." This was not only an expression of outrage, but also a warning: if humanity is neglected, people will lose themselves and become a threat to their fellow human beings. Evil will always find a way to thrive if the environment allows it to infiltrate: community indifference, delays in law enforcement, and a lack of character education .

To eliminate evil, alongside strictly punishing all violations, it is necessary to continuously cultivate humanistic values in each individual. Children need to be taught that true strength lies not in muscle, but in self-control and empathy...

We cannot tolerate any manifestation of evil because one day, the victims of violence could be our own loved ones. Evil will only disappear when the entire community speaks out and acts together.
