Suggestions for building a strong trade union organization.

VTV.vn - On the afternoon of June 3rd, the 14th Congress of the Vietnam Trade Union continued its work program with discussion sessions at 5 centers, focusing on proposing ideas to innovate trade union activities.

Comrade Ngo Duy Hieu - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor - presided over the discussion at Discussion Center No. 1.

Discussion Center No. 2 focused on the following topics: Developing union membership and establishing grassroots trade unions; improving the quality of trade union officials at all levels; building a strong trade union organization and participating in the development of the Party among workers.

At Discussion Center No. 3, Comrade Phan Van Anh - Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor - chaired the meeting on the topic: Comprehensive reform of trade union finances and care for the welfare of union members.

Comrade Vu Anh Duc - Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor and Comrade Do Hong Van - Deputy Head of the Labor Relations Department of the General Confederation of Labor presided over the meeting at Discussion Center No. 4.

Comrade Thai Thu Xuong - Standing Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor and Comrade Nguyen Ngoc An - President of the Vietnam Education Trade Union presided over the discussion at Discussion Center No. 5.

The 14th Congress of the Vietnam Trade Union took place from June 3-5 at the National Convention Center ( Hanoi ), with the participation of 780 outstanding delegates representing nearly 10 million trade union members nationwide.

On June 4th, the Congress held its solemn session with the participation and guiding speeches of Party and State leaders.

With the motto "Unity - Democracy - Discipline - Innovation - Development," the Congress will summarize the implementation of the Resolution of the 13th Congress of the Vietnam Trade Union; determine the goals, tasks, and breakthroughs for the 2026-2031 term; amend the Charter of the Vietnam Trade Union; and elect the Executive Committee of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor for the 14th term.
