For many people, when talking about the Northern countryside, they think of images such as banyan trees, communal houses, wells, buffaloes or rice fields. But not only that, if you spend a few days wandering around the roads here, you can feel the simplicity of the people in the countryside, always hospitable and full of affection.

When the morning sun gently touches the village road, in the bamboo bushes the birds chirp like a love song celebrating the ripe rice season, this is the time when farmers go to the fields to harvest rice, then carry heavy loads of rice on their shoulders. The picture of nature suddenly brightens with the radiant smiles of women holding hands holding bundles of golden rice.

On a hot summer afternoon, childhood memories suddenly flooded back when I saw children happily going fishing and swimming in the pond. Nearby, the water hyacinth was stretching out its purple flowers, making the scene strangely peaceful and poetic.

And when the sunset falls, the blue smoke drifts by the house, bringing the peaceful beauty of the Northern countryside, mesmerizing the wandering footsteps of the traveler. It is also the memories and nostalgic images that make every child far from home, when restless with homesickness, look forward to the day they can return.

The Northern Delta is a land with a long history, the cradle of Vietnamese culture and civilization. This is also the place where many traditional cultural values ​​are preserved. Residents of the Northern Delta mainly live by rice cultivation, people live in harmony with nature, are influenced by Buddhist and Confucian ideology, are grateful, believe in cause and effect, and value hierarchy in family and society... On the basis of those natural and social conditions, the landscape and lifestyle of residents in the Northern villages were gradually formed. The landscape of the Northern villages often has bamboo hedges, village gates, village roads, houses and religious structures such as communal houses, pagodas, temples, shrines, etc. In the Northern villages, the image of an ancient banyan tree symbolizes the longevity of time, witnessing the changes of people and the earth. Banyan trees are often planted at the beginning, end, middle of the village or next to the relics: communal houses, temples, pagodas in the village. Northern villages have many unique architectural styles such as: tile bridges, brick bridges, stone bridges... before entering the village. The countryside is the cradle of formation, development, nurturing, and transmission of Vietnamese cultural values ​​for thousands of years. In the countryside, the dike becomes a place for cultural activities, a place to cool off, herd buffalo, fly kites..., and a place for childhood memories. Northern Vietnam is considered the cradle of the nation's fine traditional values ​​with an extremely impressive history. In the North, there are ancient villages that have gone through many ups and downs of historical periods but still retain their inherent ancient beauty. Although Northern Vietnam has been developing extremely strongly with the modernity of today, somewhere, ancient villages still preserve the ancient beauty, existing through many generations. The beautiful image of the Northern countryside will probably never fade in every child born here.../.
