"Half a century has passed since the historic Great Victory in the spring of 1975, marking a brilliant milestone in the journey to unify the country. In that great joy, the preschool education sector of Ho Chi Minh City has made constant efforts, overcoming countless difficulties to develop and become a bright spot in the educational picture of the whole country" - Ms. Le Thuy My Chau, Deputy Director of the Department of Education and Training of Ho Chi Minh City, shared as above at the Ho Chi Minh City Preschool Education Development Festival, commemorating the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification.

The Deputy Director of the Department of Education and Training of Ho Chi Minh City said that right after the liberation day, from 1975, preschool education began to be built from small-scale childcare facilities, mainly serving the children of officials and employees in the context of the country's many difficulties. In the 1980s, along with the country's Renovation, preschool education was given more attention with the expansion of public educational institutions and the participation of non-public institutions, meeting the growing needs of society.
