Coach Ten Hag was sacked by Man Utd in October 2024. Since then, the Dutch coach has received several offers but he has refused them all. Finally, Coach Ten Hag has found his destination.

According to information from transfer news expert Fabrizio Romano, coach Ten Hag has reached an agreement to move to lead Leverkusen, replacing coach Xabi Alonso, who will move to work at Real Madrid.
Coach Ten Hag is expected to work at the Bay Arena under a contract that runs until June 2027. He is expected to continue the success left by coach Xabi Alonso. Under the Dutch strategist, Leverkusen won the double in the 2023/24 season, the Bundesliga and the German national cup. In addition, they were also runners-up in the Europa League.
Leverkusen did not win any trophies last season, but their second place finish and Champions League qualification was a good start for coach Ten Hag.
However, coach Ten Hag may face a big challenge when a series of famous stars with coach Xabi Alonso such as Florian Wirtz, Jeremie Frimpong or Jonathan Tah may leave Leverkusen in the summer transfer window of 2025 to go to bigger destinations.

In the past, Coach Ten Hag had experience working in Germany as a coach of Bayern Munich's reserve team. He then returned to the Netherlands and made a splash with Ajax. Unfortunately, since moving to lead Man Utd in 2022, Coach Ten Hag has not achieved the expected success.
Despite helping the club win the English League Cup and FA Cup, Man Utd performed poorly in the Premier League. Last season, the club finished in the lowest position in the Premier League era, finishing 8th. This season, Man Utd ranked only 14th after 9 rounds. That led to his dismissal.
