Ia Mo Nong Agricultural Production, Trade, Service and Tourism Cooperative (Chu Pah district) was established at the end of 2018 with the goal of connecting farming households to link production with the consumption of key agricultural products in Ia Mo Nong commune and neighboring communes.
Mr. Le Van Thanh - Director of the Cooperative - shared: During its operation, the Cooperative received attention and support from all levels and sectors to invest in building infrastructure, applying water-saving irrigation technology on coffee trees...
Thanks to that, the cooperative members have linked production with consumption of coffee products according to 4C standards, passion fruit and durian according to VietGAP... Up to now, the cooperative's main agricultural products have linked with businesses for stable consumption in the domestic and export markets.

The province currently has 494 cooperatives operating, mainly focusing on the agricultural sector with 391 cooperatives. As a bridge, the Provincial Cooperative Union has coordinated with relevant departments and branches to implement many support policies, creating conditions for cooperatives to access preferential loans to invest in agricultural processing machinery.
At the same time, guide cooperatives to participate in the One Commune One Product (OCOP) Program, implement the National Target Program on socio -economic development in ethnic minority and mountainous areas.
Along with that, bring OCOP products of cooperatives to participate in trade promotion fairs to promote and introduce Gia Lai 's typical agricultural products to consumers nationwide and for export.
Currently, many 4-5 star OCOP products of some cooperatives have affirmed their brands in the market such as: Phuong Di Bee Honey Cooperative (Pleiku City), Nam Yang Agricultural and Service Cooperative (Dak Doa District), Hung Thom Gia Lai Agricultural and Service Cooperative (Mang Yang District), Chu A Thai Agricultural Cooperative (Phu Thien District)...
In addition, the province has a policy to support young workers to work in agricultural cooperatives for a limited period of time with a budget of more than 1.6 billion VND; the province's Cooperative Development Support Fund has disbursed preferential loans of 5 billion VND to 4 cooperatives for investment in production and business... thereby creating motivation for cooperatives to access investment resources for development.

Mr. Trinh Quang Hai - Director of Thao Nguyen Agricultural Cooperative (Ia Phin commune, Chu Prong district) said: "Since 2019, the Cooperative has invested in processing ginseng and dried macadamia products to participate in the OCOP Program and bring about clear economic efficiency. The products are participating in trade promotion fairs in and outside the province.
Currently, the Cooperative continues to cooperate with local people in producing passion fruit and coffee. With current support policies, we hope to access resources to invest in machinery and equipment for product processing, promoting the Cooperative to develop more sustainably.
According to statistics, the province has 105 cooperatives linked with 178 production enterprises associated with the consumption of key agricultural products. In particular, 47 agricultural cooperatives own 133 provincial-level 3-4 star OCOP products. This is the basis for cooperatives to continue investing in exploiting the potential and strengths of localities to build typical products in the coming years.
Speaking to reporters, Mr. Nguyen The Hung - Chairman of the Provincial Cooperative Union - said: In recent years, the Provincial Cooperative Union has organized training courses to improve management, operation and digital transformation capacity for cooperatives.
At the same time, coordinate with relevant units to bring products of cooperatives to participate in displaying and introducing products at trade promotion fairs in and outside the province.

“In the coming time, the Provincial Cooperative Union will continue to coordinate with departments, branches and localities to propagate the State's policies and guidelines so that cooperatives can access resources to develop production and increase income for members. Open training courses to improve professional skills for cooperative staff.
Developing linkage models between cooperatives, businesses and farmers, building cooperatives associated with the value chains of key local products...
In particular, we advise and support cooperatives to borrow capital from the Vietnam Cooperative Development Support Fund and the provincial Cooperative Development Support Fund to invest in production and business development" - Chairman of the Provincial Cooperative Union added.
