Support poor women to raise breeding cows to increase income

On December 6, Mr. Hoang Nam - Vice Chairman of Quang Tri Provincial People's Committee signed and issued a decision approving the project document "Increasing income for poor and disadvantaged women through breeding cows in Kim Thach commune, Vinh Linh district", sponsored by Global Civil Sharing (GCS).

Accordingly, the project will support loans with preferential interest rates for 45 poor and disadvantaged female households in Kim Thach commune, Vinh Linh district to raise breeding cows to help increase income and improve their lives.

The total capital that GCS sponsors is 900 million VND. Livestock households will contribute through the cost of caring for and vaccinating livestock.

The leaders of the People's Committee of Quang Tri province assigned the Women's Union of Vinh Linh district to manage and implement the project; at the same time, they are responsible for closely coordinating with the sponsor and relevant local agencies to use the funding source in accordance with the approved project objectives; selecting cattle breeds, implementing the care process, and disease prevention for livestock according to the instructions of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of Quang Tri province.
