As the main crop of Lien Khe commune (now in Luu Kiem ward), Lien Khe bananas have delicious quality and beautiful appearance. In 2023, the area of Lien Khe bananas is 170 hectares, the total output is estimated at 7,170 tons/year, with revenue from bananas and red pepper mats of 420-550 million VND/ha, respectively, achieving a corresponding profit of 230-330 million VND/ha. However, Lien Khe bananas are mainly sold to small traders who come to collect, low prices and risks in the export market. Through research, people pay little attention to the packaging and labels of the products. Faced with this situation, the task has deployed a model of management, exploitation and development of the collective brand "Lien Khe Banana, Thuy Nguyen - Hai Phong" with the draft Regulations on management and use of the collective brand "Lien Khe Banana, Thuy Nguyen - Hai Phong"; Regulations on the management of stamps, labels, and packaging of the collective trademark “Lien Khe Banana, Thuy Nguyen - Hai Phong”; Regulations on the control of the collective trademark “Lien Khe Banana, Thuy Nguyen - Hai Phong”. In addition, the Procedure for granting and revoking the right to use the collective trademark “Lien Khe Banana, Thuy Nguyen - Hai Phong” is agreed upon; Technical regulations on production, preliminary processing, packaging, and preservation of Lien Khe banana products are agreed upon; System of books to monitor the management and use of trademarks and Handbook on the management and use of the collective trademark “Lien Khe Banana, Thuy Nguyen - Hai Phong”. Lien Khe Agricultural Production - Service Business Cooperative conducts internal management and links product consumption, while banana growers conduct self-management.

The brand management model was implemented in 3 steps: Training and disseminating tools for managing and using collective brands; Granting rights to use the collective brand "Lien Khe Banana, Thuy Nguyen - Hai Phong"; Organizing activities to inspect and supervise the use of the collective brand "Lien Khe Banana, Thuy Nguyen - Hai Phong". The brand development model is to develop the market for Lien Khe bananas with the collective brand. The operation of the model was effective with banana prices increasing by 21%, banana growers' profits increasing by 31% and especially the model receiving active participation from households in the area. The task was to develop the market for Lien Khe banana products and build and manage product promotion tools through reports and articles; Design and print means of product identification and promotion (500 cartons, 1,000 leaflets, 4 standees, product traceability system and 160 manuals for management and development of the collective brand "Lien Khe Banana, Thuy Nguyen - Hai Phong". In addition, propose a plan to develop the market for Lien Khe bananas with the collective brand and test the product consumption channel through stores in Hanoi and Hai Phong.
With the above results, the task was unanimously accepted by the Council based on editing and supplementing some contents such as: adding information about the number of households participating in the model; clarifying the market development plan for the product; considering supporting people to renew the collective trademark certificate "Lien Khe Banana, Thuy Nguyen - Hai Phong "; adding traceability codes to product packaging; changing information about the trademark owner and address to suit the reality after merging localities and units...
