On August 24, La Nación newspaper reported that Miss Eco Costa Rica 2025 - Camille Valverde had a serious traffic accident on the evening of August 23 on her way to Panama airport.

The incident left her with neck and brain injuries and required emergency hospitalization.

On her personal page, Camille shared a photo from the hospital with the message: “Yesterday we had an accident on the way to the airport. I suffered a neck and brain injury from a strong impact to my head. I was unconscious and don’t remember anything. We are currently being treated at a hospital in Panama. We will be returning to Costa Rica in a few days. Thank you all for your prayers.”

Notably, Camille's young daughter was also in the car when the incident occurred. Fortunately, she only suffered minor injuries and is in stable condition. The mother and daughter are being monitored medically and are expected to return to Costa Rica soon.
