Miss Thuy Tien 'pocketed' nearly 7 billion VND from selling Kera candy

The Ministry of Public Security's Investigation Police Agency (C01) has prosecuted and temporarily detained beauty queen Nguyen Thuc Thuy Tien (27 years old) to investigate the crime of defrauding customers. according to Clause 2, Article 198 of the Penal Code.

C01 determined that Kera candy belonged to Thuy Tien and the shareholders of Chi Em Rot Company (CER) who cooperated in business. In which, Thuy Tien received profits according to the capital contribution agreement equivalent to 30%, while the remaining shareholders contributed 70%.

By the time the violation was discovered, CER Company had sold more than 135,000 boxes of Kera candy to more than 30,000 customers, earning nearly VND18 billion. According to the capital contribution ratio, the amount Thuy Tien received was nearly VND7 billion.

C01 believes that after launching the Kera candy product, Tien, along with Nguyen Thi Thai Hang (Hang Du Muc) and Pham Quang Linh (Quang Linh Vlogs) provided false information to exaggerate the product's uses.

Meanwhile, Thuy Tien knows that on the test results attached to the declaration file, the information on the label of Kera vegetable candy product, the fiber content is very low, only 0.935%, not much effect in supplementing fiber for people who are picky about eating vegetables, but does not know specifically what kind of raw materials Asia Life Joint Stock Company uses to produce the candy.

By the end of February 2025, social networks were filled with controversial information regarding the fiber content in Kera candy.

To avoid any impact, Thuy Tien proposed to sign a legal contract on advertising cooperation, to eliminate Tien's role as a shareholder.

Regarding the Kera candy case, up to now, C01 has prosecuted 10 defendants.

Currently, the police investigation agency is expanding the investigation of the case, clarifying all violations of related individuals to strictly handle them according to the provisions of the law.

Nguyen Thuc Thuy Tien (27 years old, from Ho Chi Minh City) studied the international hotel and restaurant management program at Hoa Sen University.

Thuy Tien represented Vietnam at the Miss Grand International 2021 pageant and was crowned. Before becoming Miss Grand International, Thuy Tien participated in many domestic and international beauty pageants.

She received the certificate of merit for Outstanding Young Vietnamese Faces in 2021 for young people in the field of art, awarded by the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union.

The beauty also participated in acting in many music videos and movies.
