90% of preparations for Ha Long Carnival 2025 completed

Ha Long Carnival 2025 is one of the highlights to kick off the peak summer tourist season of Ha Long City and Quang Ninh Province. This year, the program will have many different highlights, including an art space combined with a street festival with the participation of a large number of professional and non-professional actors. A system of professional machinery and equipment has been invested synchronously. Currently, all preparations have been completed to 90% with the expectation of bringing to the people and tourists an impressive and eye-catching Carnival.

After many days of individual practice, from April 27, the entire group of professional and non-professional actors practiced together, perfecting the performances at the Sun Carnival Square stage area, Bai Chay ward - where the Ha Long Carnival will take place on the evening of May 1. The program brings together a large cast with spectacular performances, high artistry, and the practice is organized with the highest sense of responsibility.

With the theme: "Carnaval Ha Long 2025 - Connecting heritage, pioneering to shine", the program consists of 4 parts: Opening art; Ha Long Carnival ball; DJ performance; high-altitude fireworks display. With the idea of ​​converging intangible heritages of 3 regions on the heritage - wonders of Ha Long Bay, at the same time bringing back the street festival atmosphere imbued with Carnaval, creating different highlights for this year's festival. The program gathers a cast of up to 1,000 people, bringing the image of a beautiful heritage land, rich in historical and cultural values.

Director Hoang Cong Cuong, General Director of the Ha Long Carnival 2025, said: The rehearsal atmosphere of the Carnival program is taking place very urgently, seriously and professionally by all the actors, experts and crew. We wish to bring a true festival season, spreading the most beautiful images of Quang Ninh to the public, people across the country as well as tourists around the world . This year's Carnival will promote the full value of the precious heritage not only of Quang Ninh but also of the whole of Vietnam converging on this stage. We wish to bring a true Carnival stage, brilliant in color with elaborate and unique performances.

Ha Long Carnival 2025 is also a program that uses modern art and the most advanced technology today. The performances and scenes in the program are expressed in the language of contemporary art, with mapping, lasers, light shows, and cutting-edge technology effects, creating a festival space that keeps up with world trends. To ensure effects and bring a satisfying performance of sound and light, the technical team has built a magnificent stage with a total length of nearly 100m and a height of 24m. The stage of this year's program recreates the majestic beauty of Ha Long Bay, combining traditional art and modern technology. The center is a magnificent rock mountain symbol, surrounded by lighting effects and unique art models, depicting the intersection between culture and nature. This space honors Quang Ninh as a living heritage, converging the quintessence and affirming that this is a heritage and wonder of the world.

The highlight of the program is the stage created with rock mountain models to display 3D mapping. The construction unit has built a mountain made of ventilated steel mesh, 16m high, 26m wide with a tight structure, combined with a mapping system to create an impressive stage space. Along with that is a model of a lute 13m long, 3m wide, 8m high. This is an intangible cultural heritage of the Tay ethnic group in Binh Lieu, which has an extremely important meaning in the life and activities of the people here. Up to now, the stage and grandstand areas are being constructed and installed by the construction units to complete 90% of the work, to ensure the right progress, as well as the technical solutions according to the set ideas.

The program uses 10 high-power projectors manufactured in the US and Belgium to display all the illustrative images for the artistic performances. Along with that, there are 1,000 stage effect lights of all kinds arranged reasonably, creating flexible spatial and temporal contexts. In addition, on both sides of the stage are 2 LED screens to display tourism promotional videos and live images of the program. The technical team has also completed the stage area with turntables and lifting tables to help the performances be performed professionally, creating unexpected stage effects, fully conveying the director's intentions, as well as bringing the most satisfying performances to the people and tourists.

Mr. Nguyen Hong Thang, Technical Director of the Ha Long Carnival 2025 program, shared: To carry out the massive amount of work, we have arranged time, mobilized about 400 workers and nearly 500 tons of equipment to serve the program. In addition, the technical team also proactively conducted field research, proposed options to best suit the director's ideas. In particular, with a large-scale program with bold colors like Ha Long Carnival, we have worked with the most prestigious sound and lighting units in Vietnam to bring the best program quality to people and tourists, fully conveying the values ​​of culture, history, and people of Quang Ninh, Vietnam to domestic and international friends.

As planned, from today onwards, the entire cast of the show will be on stage, practicing, rehearsing and finalizing for the official performance on May 1.
