Complete the access road to Dong Viet Bridge (Chi Linh) in Q3/2024

The construction unit for the Dong Viet Bridge access road project has basically completed the asphalt paving of the main traffic route, nearly 5 km long, and finished paving the intersections. Currently, the unit has completed the removal of the weak soil foundation at the bridge approach and is proceeding with the roadbed construction.

The construction unit mobilized 50 engineers and workers and approximately 35 pieces of machinery and equipment, divided into 3 teams to carry out the various construction items; striving to complete the project in the third quarter of 2024. Following the arrest of the leader of Thuan An Construction and Trading Development Joint Stock Company - one of the three companies in the consortium of contractors building the Dong Viet bridge, invested by Bac Giang province - the construction unit is currently still carrying out the remaining work.

The Dong Viet Bridge access road, connecting to National Highway 37, is 5.3 km long, passing through the communes and wards of Hung Dao, Le Loi, and Cong Hoa (Chi Linh district). It is a Class II road with a 22.5 m wide roadbed and a design speed of 80 km/hour, with a total investment of over 469.8 billion VND. The Dong Viet Bridge access road construction project is being undertaken by a consortium of companies including Con Son Construction Materials Joint Stock Company, Viet Hoa Construction and Trading Joint Stock Company, Capital Construction and Equipment Joint Stock Company, and Vu Bach Trading and Construction Company Limited.

The Dong Viet Bridge project, invested by Bac Giang province, is over 730 meters long and 22.5 meters wide. The main bridge section consists of two cable-stayed spans with a flat surface, while the approach bridge comprises 14 Super T spans. The Dong Viet Bridge was constructed by a consortium of Thuan An Construction and Trading Development Joint Stock Company, Trung Chinh Trading and Construction Company Limited, and Vietnam 168 Investment Construction and Import-Export Joint Stock Company. This is the first and largest cable-stayed bridge in Bac Giang province, spanning the Thuong River and connecting to Hai Duong province.
