Dong Viet Bridge connects Bac Giang

The contractor mobilized machinery and workers to lay asphalt on the bridge surface.

The Dong Viet bridge and its approach roads were started in June 2022. The bridge has a total length of over 811 meters and a width of 23.5 meters. It was built across the Thuong River to connect Bac Giang and Hai Duong provinces.

This is the first and largest cable-stayed bridge in Bac Giang province. The project is managed by the Bac Giang Provincial Project Management Board for Investment and Construction of Transportation and Agricultural Works. Currently, the Dong Viet bridge and its access roads are being constructed at an accelerated pace, ensuring adherence to the schedule. The bridge itself is 98% complete.

Currently, there are over 60 workers on the construction site focusing on paving the bridge surface and constructing the roadbed.

After paving the bridge surface, the contractor is urgently completing the remaining items: painting road markings on the bridge surface, installing the decorative electrical system, installing expansion joints, painting the railing edges, striving to complete the Dong Viet bridge in December 2024 as originally planned.

Previously, Bac Giang province aimed to open the bridge for technical traffic in early September, nearly four months ahead of schedule (December 24, 2024).

Dong Viet Bridge is the first and largest cable-stayed bridge in Bac Giang province, spanning the Thuong River and connecting to Chi Linh City ( Hai Duong province).

The project has a total investment of nearly 1,500 billion VND. Thuan An Group is one of the parties in the consortium participating in the project, with a construction value of over 800 billion VND.
