In late July, the communes of Western Nghe An suffered historic floods caused by storm No. 3. The natural disaster caused thousands of houses and schools to collapse, be buried, and be swept away; property and household items were severely damaged. The lives of people in the flooded areas fell into dire straits, lacking everything.
Understanding and sharing those losses, as soon as the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Nghe An province issued an appeal to support people affected by floods and storm No. 3, Hoang Gia Phat Investment and Trading Joint Stock Company (HGP) promptly donated 50 million VND from charity funds to the province's Relief Fund.
With the motto “Not just a working group - but also a loving community”, the Board of Directors of Hoang Gia Phat Group calls on all officers and employees to donate one day’s salary to join hands to support people in flood-hit areas. Responding to the call, all members of HGP unanimously expressed their responsibility and affection through practical actions, aiming to add more trust and warmth to people in disaster-hit areas.
The spirit of “a piece when hungry is worth a package when full” spreads in every action and every person here. In that group, the story of Phan Duc Hai - a young employee of HGP Land, from Con Cuong, moved many people. Although his own house was also deeply flooded and the water had not receded, Hai still voluntarily contributed money to help the people. When the flood came to his hometown, he asked for permission to return home to take care of his parents, and at the same time directly support the people of Quyet Tien village - where he was born and raised.
“Brother, tell HGP to help my neighborhood… it’s all flooded, it’s so hard, brother…” - the message was like a sob from the bottom of the heart from the “youngest brother” sent to the HGP leadership, softly but enough to touch the hearts of the whole group. Immediately after that, the company allocated 10 million VND to support Hai’s family and the people in the neighborhood. At the same time, the staff continued to donate, urgently preparing 3 relief trucks, carrying food, provisions and necessary necessities to the small neighborhood - Hai’s hometown; contributing in time to give more strength to help people overcome the disaster.

Not only stopping internally, HGP also launched the charity campaign " Buy to help - Towards Nghe An" to spread the spirit of charity to the community. In 3 days (July 26 - 28), the company donated 5% of revenue from all product transactions to the Relief Fund. This initiative received positive response from customers, partners, staff and many benefactors.
After 3 days of implementation, the campaign raised a total of 220 million VND. The entire amount was sent by Hoang Gia Phat to the Nghe An Provincial Relief Committee to deliver to people affected by the flood, helping them to soon stabilize their lives.
Up to now, the total value of cash and goods that the company has supported people in flood-hit areas has reached 330 million VND. The gifts are small but warm and meaningful, containing the hearts of each employee and each customer, as practical encouragement sent to people in flood-hit areas.
Sharing about this meaningful charity journey, Mr. Hoang Nguyen Trong Dung - General Director of Hoang Gia Phat Group expressed: "Every time the homeland needs, each employee, each customer, each product of Hoang Gia Phat becomes a bridge of love. Our sharing efforts are not only a continuation of the tradition of sowing good seeds 'Thien dien gia phat' but also a desire to spread and inspire to multiply good deeds in the community because somewhere there are still many situations that need help after natural disasters and floods".
