The stormy weather in the North has caused many tourists to worry and cancel their tours to see the golden rice fields on the terraced slopes. However, the weather at the two rice-ripening viewing spots, Hoang Su Phi (Ha Giang province) and Mu Cang Chai (Yen Bai province), has cleared up and become sunny again.
These two destinations are considered safe for tourists to experience.

Speaking to Tuoi Tre Online , Ms. Trieu Thi Tinh, deputy director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Ha Giang province, said that tourism activities in the locality are still proceeding normally.
September is the time when the rice fields in Hoang Su Phi reach their peak beauty. The weather at this destination is very pleasant, sunny. In the early-ripening rice fields, local people have already started harvesting, while in the remaining areas, the rice will turn a beautiful golden yellow in about a week.
“During the recent storm, the road to Hoang Su Phi district only experienced localized landslides in a few small areas. Ha Giang has addressed these issues, and the road is now clear. Tourist spots for viewing ripening rice fields in Hoang Su Phi and the Suoi Thau grassland (Xin Man district) are beautiful and ready to welcome visitors,” Ms. Tinh shared.

According to Long Chinh Xuan, the owner of a homestay in Ban Phung, the terraced rice fields in Hoang Su Phi were unaffected by Typhoon No. 3, and the rice has gradually turned a beautiful golden color. Next week is expected to be the most beautiful time in Ban Phung.
Last week, due to the impact of storms, floods, and landslides in the North, many tourists canceled their tours to Hoang Su Phi to see the ripening rice fields. Accommodation options in Hoang Su Phi are still available to welcome guests.
