Specifically, total retail sales of goods and consumer service revenue in May were estimated at nearly 22,106 billion VND, an increase of 21.8% compared to the same period in 2025. Notably, retail activity in May recorded strong growth with total revenue estimated at 17,200 billion VND, an increase of 25.3% compared to the same period in 2025.

For the first five months of 2026, the city's total retail sales of goods and consumer service revenue reached VND 105,000 billion, an increase of 17.5% compared to the same period in 2025. Of this, total retail sales revenue is estimated at VND 81,000 billion, an increase of 19.4% compared to the same period in 2025; revenue from accommodation and food services is estimated at VND 13,600 billion, an increase of 10.9% compared to the same period in 2025; revenue from travel and tourism is estimated at over VND 200 billion, a decrease of 0.9% compared to the same period in 2025; and revenue from other services is estimated at VND 10,200 billion, an increase of 12.5% ​​compared to the same period in 2025.
