How is the admissions process?
In 2026, the E-commerce major will recruit 215 students, including 165 for the high-quality program (132 credits) and 50 for the standard program (130 credits).
The school uses three admission methods, including direct admission, admission based on high school graduation exam scores, and combined admission.
For direct admission , the school recruits candidates under policy categories, those eligible for direct admission according to the regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training; those who have won third prize or higher in national-level student competitions; or first prize or higher in national-level science and technology competitions.
For admission based on high school graduation exam scores , there are four subject combinations: A00 (Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry), A01 (Mathematics, Physics, English), D01 (Mathematics, Literature, English), and D07 (Mathematics, Chemistry, English). Candidates who are eligible for direct admission but do not use their scores will receive an additional 0.5-1.5 points when applying for admission using their high school graduation exam scores.
Using the combined assessment method, the school is divided into 3 groups:
Group 1 consists of candidates with international SAT or ACT certificates. Candidates must have an SAT score of 1,200 or higher or an ACT score of 26 or higher.
Group 2 consists of candidates with scores from the National University of Hanoi's aptitude test (HSA), the National University of Ho Chi Minh City's aptitude test (APT), the Hanoi University of Science and Technology's critical thinking test (TSA), or an international English certificate combined with one of the HSA/APT/TSA scores.
Specifically, candidates need to achieve an HSA score of 85 or higher, an APT score of 700 or higher, or a TSA score of 60 or higher; an IELTS score of 5.5 or a TOEFL iBT score of 46 or a TOEIC score (4 skills: Listening and Reading - 785, Speaking - 160, Writing - 150) or higher, combined with one of the above-mentioned individual test results.
Group 3 includes candidates who use a combination of converted international English language certificate scores and their 2024 high school graduation exam scores.
The application requirements are as follows: Applicants must achieve an IELTS score of 5.5 or TOEFL iBT 46 or TOEIC score (4 skills: Listening & Reading - 785, Speaking - 160, Writing - 150) or higher; and have a score in the 2024 high school graduation exam in Mathematics and one other subject besides English, belonging to the university's admission subject combinations.
