Tuition fees of 12 member schools and faculties of Vietnam National University, Hanoi

The University of Education has the lowest tuition fee at 9.8-11.7 million VND, while the International School has a major with tuition fees up to 112.7 million VND.

On the afternoon of May 19, Hanoi National University announced the 2023 enrollment plan of 12 affiliated member schools and faculties.

The University of Education has kept its tuition fees the same as the last two years. In addition to the pedagogical majors that are supported by the state for tuition and living expenses, the university also enrolls students in the majors of School Management, Educational Technology Management, Educational Quality Management, School Counseling, and Educational Science . The tuition fees for these majors are 9.8-11.7 million VND per year. This is also the lowest tuition fee of Hanoi National University.

Tuition fees for standard programs that have not been quality-accredited at other member schools of the Hanoi National University such as Social Sciences and Humanities, Natural Sciences or Foreign Languages are at least 15 million VND per year. This is an increase of 2.5-5.2 million VND compared to the current level.

With quality-accredited standard programs, schools collect the same amount of 35 million VND per year, similar to the previous school year.

For high-quality programs or training cooperation with foreign countries, member schools and faculties of Hanoi National University all collect over 50 million VND per year.

Of these, the International School has the highest tuition fee. The dual degree program in Management, jointly awarded by Hanoi National University and Keuka College (USA), charges about 112.7 million VND per year. The tuition fee for the entire course is 450.8 million VND, including one semester of study in the US. This fee does not include the tuition fee for the preparatory English program.

According to Decree 81 of 2021 of the Government on public tuition fees, the ceiling for university tuition fees from 2022-2023 ranges from 12-61.25 million VND per year, depending on the training major and school model (non-autonomous, autonomous in regular spending, autonomous in regular spending and investment). This level increases by 300,000-10.2 million VND per year compared to before. For majors that have been accredited and have international links, schools are free to decide on tuition fees.

In 2023, Hanoi National University will enroll 14,945 students for 143 majors and training programs, an increase of nearly 1,800 compared to last year.

Admission methods are divided into four main groups, including: direct admission and priority admission; consideration of graduation exam scores; consideration of competency assessment exam scores of Hanoi National University and Ho Chi Minh City National University; consideration of international certificates.

In addition, some affiliated units recruit students separately by interview or aptitude test, combined with academic records, graduation exam scores or certificates.
