Exciting cultural activities of Gia Lai Cultural Tourism Week 2023

The dugout canoe racing festival on the Po Co River and the Gong Culture Festival attracted thousands of tourists from inside and outside Gia Lai province as well as local people to join in the fun and enjoy. This activity is part of the series of cultural activities of the Gia Lai Cultural Tourism Week 2023.
The dugout canoe racing festival had 39 participating teams; the Gong Culture Festival had 13 teams participating in gong performances and competitions, 14 teams participating in folk dance competitions, with a total of nearly 1,000 athletes and artisans participating from 13 communes, towns, agencies, units and 2 districts of Duc Co and Ia H'Drai ( Kon Tum ).

This is an annual festival held in the strategy of preserving and promoting traditional cultural values, associated with the legendary Po Co River, with the soldier - hero A Sanh who has entered poetry and music in the famous song The Ferryman on the Po Co River (poem by Dao Mai Trang, music by Cam Phong).

Mr. Le Ngoc Quy, Chairman of Ia Grai District People's Committee emphasized: Preserving the festival is also an opportunity for Ia Grai District to promote its image, introduce to visitors from near and far its unique cultural features, beautiful tourist attractions such as: Fishing village, Mo waterfall, A Sanh ferry, Chu Nghe victory relic site, 3-storey waterfall, 9-storey waterfall, Lun forest... When coming to the famous landscapes and landscapes of Ia Grai district, visitors can experience and explore the wild, wild beauty of nature, fresh air. "Visitors can also interact and meet friendly, hospitable people, enjoy rich cuisine , diverse local products, immerse themselves in the festival, blend in with the sounds of gongs, cymbals, and charming xoang dances. Coming to Ia Grai is coming to a peaceful border area, a border area that captivates people", Mr. Quy added.
