Within the framework of attending the China-Vietnam Border Tourism Festival and the ASEAN-China Import-Export Trade Fair 2025 of the Lang Son Provincial Delegation in Pingxiang Town, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, China, on May 27, 2025, Mr. Duong Xuan Huyen, Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, met with Mr. Lam Hieu, Alternate Member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, Secretary of the Chongzuo City Party Committee, Guangxi, China.

            Also attending the meeting were Ms. Nguyen Thi Huong, Consul General of Vietnam in Nanning, China and representatives of leaders of departments and branches of Lang Son, Quang Ninh, Cao Bang , Vietnam; representatives of leaders of agencies and units of Chongzuo city, Pingxiang town, Guangxi, China.

At the meeting, Mr. Lam Hieu, Secretary of the Chongzuo City Party Committee, Guangxi, China expressed his joy at welcoming the delegation of Vietnamese provinces to attend the China-Vietnam Border Tourism Festival and the ASEAN-China Import-Export Trade Fair in 2025, reviewing the exchange and cooperation activities in the fields of economy - trade, culture - tourism, people-to-people exchange, etc. At the same time, he suggested that the two sides promote the opening and upgrading of border gates, connecting traffic infrastructure in the border gate areas of the two sides, cooperating to promote the expansion of the list of agricultural products for import and export; jointly strengthen cooperation in industrial production; jointly promote cooperation in building cross-border cooperation zones, building high-quality tourism products; continue to promote cooperation in the fields of justice, education, health, etc.

Mr. Duong Xuan Huyen, Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, on behalf of the delegation of Vietnamese localities, thanked them for their thoughtful and warm welcome and emphasized: " In recent times, the traditional friendship between Vietnam has been constantly consolidated and developed, and has agreed to establish a new position for bilateral relations through historic visits by senior leaders of the two Parties and two States. On that basis, Lang Son and Guangxi, including Chongzuo City, have always actively concretized the common perception of the leaders of the two Parties and two States; constantly promoted close exchanges, tightened friendship, expanded cooperation in many fields, especially people-to-people exchanges, culture, tourism and cooperation to promote trade - import and export".

Mr. Duong Xuan Huyen also suggested that the two sides should continue to expand friendly exchanges and cooperation in the fields of culture, education, and tourism; develop unique, high-quality tourism products that are convenient for cross-border visitors; actively promote connections and regular exchanges between local authorities of the two sides after Vietnam officially operates the 2-level local government model; continue to support and coordinate in promoting key products, especially agricultural products of Lang Son at events, fairs, and trade forums in Guangxi; thereby promoting the export of Lang Son goods to the Guangxi and Chinese markets...
