Ca Mau is a coastal province in the southernmost part of Vietnam, located only 310km from Ho Chi Minh City and about 140km from Can Tho City, yet enjoying convenient transportation via road, waterway, and air routes. Besides its vast sea area, Ca Mau possesses many advantages for developing tourism, aquaculture, and the processing and export of high-quality seafood; its forest and marine resources provide Ca Mau with unique advantages for economic development. In particular, in 2016-2017, Ca Mau province has been and will continue to strengthen administrative reform and improve the investment and business environment within the province.
At the conference, the Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the People's Committee of Ca Mau province, Nguyen Tien Hai, informed businesses and investors about projects that have been invested in the province. Accordingly, since the beginning of the year, 30 projects have been granted investment certificates, with a total registered investment capital of over 6,600 billion VND. To date, there are a total of 205 production and business investment projects in the province, with a total registered capital of over 83,000 billion VND. Currently, Ca Mau province is calling for investment in projects in the following fields: agriculture , industry, trade and services, tourism, investment in infrastructure construction for economic zones and industrial parks, and completion of the transportation network…
In particular, the Hon Khoai International Seaport project has received government approval for investment and construction. Upon completion, it is expected to accommodate ships with a tonnage of 250,000 DWT. Hon Khoai Port will create an important international maritime connection point, helping Vietnam connect with countries around the world, especially those in the region such as Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, and Japan.
With its inherent potential and tradition of hospitality, Ca Mau always welcomes domestic and foreign investors. The Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Ca Mau Provincial People's Committee, Nguyen Tien Hai, pledged to create all favorable conditions to ensure investors feel secure when researching and successfully implementing investment projects in the province.
At the conference, the leaders of Ca Mau province signed five memoranda of understanding and awarded five investment registration certificates to investors and businesses.
