On the morning of December 29, the Government Inspectorate held an online conference to summarize the work in 2023 and deploy tasks for 2024 of the inspection sector. Attending the conference at the Government Inspectorate bridge was comrade Le Minh Khai, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Prime Minister.
Also attending were members of the Party Central Committee, representatives of central agencies, ministries, departments and branches. Attending the conference at the Ha Nam bridge point were comrade Nguyen Anh Chuc, member of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; leaders, cadres and civil servants of the Provincial Inspectorate; leaders of the Provincial People's Committee Office; Chief Inspector, Deputy Chief Inspector of provincial departments and branches; leaders of the People's Committees and Inspectorates of districts, towns and cities.

In 2023, the Government Inspectorate has directed strongly, ministries, branches and localities have focused on synchronously implementing tasks in accordance with the spirit of resolutions and directions of the Government and the Prime Minister; well implementing emulation movements in the whole industry. The Party Executive Committee, leaders of the Government Inspectorate and heads of administrative agencies and inspection agencies at all levels have been flexible and determined in leading, directing and operating the work of the Inspectorate to successfully complete assigned tasks.
In the inspection work, we have focused on accelerating the progress of issuing inspection conclusions; promptly implementing the Government's resolutions and directions of the Steering Committees for Anti-Corruption at all levels; the post-inspection supervision and handling work has been focused on and achieved positive results; the consultation on issuing the 2023 Inspection Program Orientation and organizing the implementation closely follows the directives, resolutions, and directions of superiors and the practical situation.

Through inspection activities, violations related to money have increased by nearly 200%, recommendations for recovery to the state budget have increased by more than 600% compared to the same period in 2022; the transfer of information and case files with signs of crime to the investigation agency continues to have many positive changes. In the work of receiving citizens, resolving complaints and denunciations, we have focused on directing, synchronously and drastically implementing many solutions, promoting the review and resolution of pending, complicated and prolonged complaints and denunciations; actively and proactively implementing Resolution 623/NQ-UBTVQH15 dated October 7, 2022 of the National Assembly Standing Committee, direction of the Government and Prime Minister. Thereby, it has contributed to ensuring stability in the security and social order situation.
In the work of preventing and combating corruption, the Government has focused on advising the Government to implement the 2023 work program of the Central Steering Committee on Anti-Corruption and Negative Activities; continuing to urge and guide all levels and sectors to implement the Party and State's direction on anti-corruption and negative activities. Advising the Government to issue the National Strategy on Anti-Corruption and Negative Activities until 2030 and the Plan for implementing the United Nations Convention against Corruption. The work of building the sector has been focused on, especially strengthening discipline, administrative discipline, public ethics and protecting state secrets of inspectors; reviewing and issuing circulars guiding the organization, apparatus and inspection operations.

Implementing the tasks in 2024, the Government Inspectorate continues to closely follow the direction of the Government and the Prime Minister, striving to successfully carry out the political tasks assigned by the Party and the State. In particular, closely following the direction of the inspection program in 2024 approved by the Prime Minister and meeting the requirements of state management and socio-economic development at all levels and sectors to carry out inspection work; innovating in organizing the implementation of inspection plans; promoting the application of science and technology in inspection activities; effectively implementing the resolutions and directions of the Government and the Prime Minister related to inspection activities, especially the tasks and solutions for socio-economic recovery and development. Continuing to effectively implement the Law on Citizen Reception, the Law on Complaints, the Law on Denunciations, directives and resolutions of the Central Committee, the National Assembly, and directions of the Government and the Prime Minister on this work.
Synchronously implement policies, laws on anti-corruption, especially the 2018 Anti-Corruption Law, conclusions and directives of the Politburo on anti-corruption work. Organize the implementation of the 2024 institutional building work plan of the Government Inspectorate. Continue to issue professional circulars within the authority to implement the Inspection Law and decrees and resolutions guiding its implementation. Continue to innovate and improve the operational efficiency of the sector and of each agency and unit; pay attention to training and fostering, promote administrative reform, information, propaganda, scientific research, and application of information technology.
Direct inspectors at all levels and in all sectors to focus on perfecting the structure, organization, and apparatus according to job positions and functions, tasks, and powers of inspection agencies to effectively perform state management functions and professional activities; improve the quality and efficiency of operations, strengthen discipline and order, and build a team of inspectors with sufficient qualities, capacity, and prestige, equal to the tasks...
The conference also announced decisions to commend and award units that have excellently completed their tasks in 2023./.
