Webinar: Instructions for collecting and providing data and supporting documents for calculating the 2025 Innovation Index (PII)

On the afternoon of June 13, 2025, the Department of Innovation - Ministry of Science and Technology organized an online workshop on Guidelines for collecting and providing data to serve the construction of the Local Innovation Index (PII) in 2025. Attending the workshop, the bridge at the Department of Science and Technology of Ninh Binh was Mr. Nguyen Toan Thang, Deputy Director of the Department, who attended and directed the staff in charge of providing data and supporting documents to serve the calculation of the PII Index of departments, branches, sectors, universities and related units in providing data and supporting documents.

At the training session, delegates were informed by the staff of the Department of Innovation - Ministry of Science and Technology about knowledge and instructions on collecting and providing data, supporting documents to calculate the innovation index such as: Institutions; Human resources and research; Infrastructure; Market development level; Business development level; Knowledge, innovation and technology products; Impact. At the same time, the conference also exchanged, discussed and answered questions related to PII in the process of collecting and providing data...

PII Index Framework.

The PII 2025 framework includes 7 pillars (05 input pillars and 02 output pillars), specifically: Input pillars reflect factors that facilitate socio-economic development based on science and technology, innovation and digital transformation, including: institutions, human resources and infrastructure research, market development level, business development level; Output pillars reflect the impact of science and technology, innovation and digital transformation on socio-economic development, including: knowledge products, creativity and technology; impact.

Also at the Workshop, delegates exchanged, discussed and had their questions answered by experts from the Department of Innovation on issues related to the process of collecting and providing data to serve the construction of the Local Innovation Index (PII), thereby helping officials of departments, branches, universities and related units in providing data and supporting documents to better understand the role of PII in socio -economic development based on science and technology, innovation and digital transformation./.
