Student Competition with Skills to Prevent and Control School Depression in 2025

(Baothanhhoa.vn) - On the morning of May 19, the Center for Social Work - Children's Protection Fund of Thanh Hoa province coordinated with the Boarding School for Ethnic Minorities of Nhu Xuan district to organize a contest for students with skills to prevent and control school depression in 2025.

Overview of the contest.

School depression is one of the mental health problems, not new to society and this is also the main cause, causing a series of unfortunate incidents occurring in students. School depression can occur in many different subjects, regardless of gender or grade. However, this mental disorder is usually more common in children who are under a lot of academic pressure from their families, or are victims of school violence. With the desire to raise awareness for students, families and schools about the role of school mental health, especially the prevention and control of depression.

The student competition on skills to prevent and control depression was organized in the form of dramatization, attracting the participation of 4 teams of students from the district's ethnic boarding school. At the competition, the teams had to go through 3 rounds: Greeting, knowledge and talent.

At the end of the competition, the Organizing Committee awarded 1 first prize, 1 second prize and 2 third prizes. In addition, the Organizing Committee also awarded additional prizes to the participating teams.

The teams performed excellently in the competitions. The competition is a useful and practical playground for students, thereby helping them to be equipped with the most basic knowledge and skills to recognize, prevent and control school depression. Propagating to raise awareness of families, schools and communities about the issue of school depression and adolescent mental health. Creating a playground for exchange, creativity, connecting students - teachers, psychological experts, enhancing coordination between departments and sectors in the work of protecting, caring for children and preventing school psychological risks.

On this occasion, the leaders of the Social Work Center - Children's Support Fund of Thanh Hoa province presented 2 bicycles to 2 disadvantaged students of the district's Boarding Ethnic High School.
